The country is broke that is why the govt is behaving this way . How can a teacher be transfered without the corresponding payments of legitimate entitlements . Teachers of this country are not being fairly treated at all.

Irene Adanusah Should be driven out of office because she is a clock whose handle is been turned by governments against the well-being of teachers.
Come to think of it, when have we seen teachers leadership ever been serious in this country?
They don't have a unified front to fight. They are full of self-seeking executives who are looking opportunities to amass wealth.
GNAT Hostels and Teachers Halls all come from the Teachers Fund but Teachers are rather turned away when they go there to lodge.
No account is rendered to teachers as to how the monies realized are been used and teachers in this country sit down crying for pay increase from the government.
Teachers should begin to demand for the accounts of the monies realized.
What a country?

yes i agree redistribution of teachers to ensure equity is important but using force and threat will be counter productive. please learn how to entice people to willingly accept to go and work. dialogue with them.let them tell you their fears and expectations. let them lead the policy formulation and implementation process and see how successful it would be.
why must we always resort to crude methods.

Do you really understand the meaning of rationalization as it is used in this case? You can go back and ask your English language teacher because my president knows what he is talking about

Why should someone accept a position in a rural area when everything in the country takes place in Accra? The GES should tell teachers why it is worthy going there in real terms. Appealing to people's conscience has not worked in the past and will not work today. What incentives are there to attract people to the rural areas?

Do the minister mean that those with their families together will also be transferred. As the work is important to them our families are also so important to us.You always train new teacher's every year. They can start from those places. But what do we see,Accra is over staff but you are still bringing new teachers.Just because some one want something small into the pocket. We all started from the village.Mad.Minister change is a gradual process.Give incentives to teachers and let it be voluntary and see if teachers will opt to go for transfer themselves.Let teachers be.We are tied with your policies.Let us rest.
