The latest figure that has been put out there is over a 100million dollars has been pumped into the system and contrary to the popular opinion and propaganda by the NDC gov't led by John Mahama and Amissah Arthur that, the economy is expanding, the economy is actually contracting, the cedi is in a free fall and hitting the ground ferociously scattering whatever gains the country chalked during the previous NPP administration and over the long term, the outlook doesn't look promising and bright and the country would need to send the NDC gov't out in 2016, to stem the plunging, hemorrhaging and downslide of the country on all fronts under the NDC gov't.

We should remember that one of Nkrumah's greatest accomplishments was the dam, which was built using funding from abroad - a huge investment from ALCOA.
In fact, most people will acknowledge the deal we got/made to finance the dam was not the best. Todays problems with VALCO and most of the power problems we had in the 90's was a result of this deal. Had Nkrumah (arguably) been able to source regular financing, aka from a bank, we would have had much more flexibility and probably would have been able to develop other areas of the economy with the power.
Fast forward 50+ years, and we have this $3billion loan that we haven't even received yet, that we're paying interest on. Yet another less than ideal financing structure, which we wouldn't have to depend on if we had INVESTORS willing to make those financial outlays that the gov't is now struggling to borrow to meet.
Long and short of my story, investors too have a place in Ghana's economy. If we simply overlook them, or rely on only one other source (borrowing), we won't get as good a deal. If we only rely on investors too, they will rape and pillage our resources. To best capitalize, we must use both/whatever option is most beneficial to Ghana

Mr Kotei, I expect you to use this opportunity to advocate that It is time to start encouraging and setting up Ghanaian investors. Please start advocating strongly for made in Ghana investors. They are the only ones who will arrest the free fall of the cedi. Fro the black market, we must all be patriotic and expose if there are some illegalities that will affect the nation. It is time to rally behind the red gold green. The future of your children depends on the contributions you make now

Only us can save ourselves. Rather than appealing to our numerous millionaires and people to club together to invest and undertake big projects in Ghana, we seek foreign investors. It is nothing personal that foreigners want to take their money home. Afterall that is what many of us do from abroad, repatriating money to build our homes etc, why should we think foreigners in Ghana should be any different to us.

Hey brother Kotei, which Business school did you graduate from? school of hard nuts right? yeah right. When you learn to appreciate what you have you will also learn to improve it to be successful. When you let some one feed you they will always control your destiny. The Govt. Personally, I think any foreign exchange should go through the central bank and you will see how fast corruption tumbles. Africans want to live like their slave masters and not interested in the hard work that it takes to develop a nation. "Illusions of Grandeur" Dollar as a means of doing business in Ghana? You will never get any where. Do you really think the west would want to help you grow? you are dreaming. For decades Lever brothers have hauled away Palm oil to make soap while telling Ghana that palm oil is bad for us and also it has high cholestrol and so is coconut oil. New research has proven all that to be lies and eight ounces of coconut sells for at least $15.00 in New York City and the Pam oil is the best oil on earth, hands down. When are we going to learn to be masters of your own land and reap the fruits of the richest land on earth? Mr Kotei go find yourself some kenke and chill out.
