Historically, the (P)NDC has shown great incompetence in managing the affairs of Ghana. This is a fact that can be checked from the library.It is made more pronounced this time because NPP's 8-year effort that stabilized the economy and attempted to lay foundation for industrialisation(the only government since Nkrumah to have done that). NPP did this quietly and produced great results. The NDC government CANNOT do any better than what they have achieved now. It is the result of a series of they regarded as'best' economic decisions. This will serve a great lesson to Ghanaians.

Last year the cedi lost 17% of its value and it has lost 7% of it's value just in January 2014.

The cedi has lost more than half its value under Ndc administrations of Mills/Mahama and Mahama/Amissah Arthur. When Ndc came to power in 2009, the exchange rate of the cedi to the dollar was GHc1.20 to$1.00 The cedi lost about 20% of its value during Kuffour administration.

Now under Ndc administration from 2009 to 2014, the exchange rate is now GHc2.60 to $1.00 close to 100%.

Firstly, the Minister should understand that he is occupying a position which is entrusted to him by the President who is a gentleman. If he (Okudzeto) feels that he is an expert in trading insults, then he better resigns from the position.
Secondly, he should realize that he was appointed to help the President deliver quality of service to better the lot of Ghanaians and not to insult people.
When is he going to learn to behave?. Ablakwa to me is too young for that position. The President should think of taking the position from him. He is undeed disgracing Ghana and the President.

Under their tenure from 2009 till present the cedi has depreciated by over 150%, in just 5years, in the midst of an oil economy, the cedi has depreciated by over 150%, and these are the facts. Initially the reasons they cited was the wage bill, then they said the election petition, now the popular singsong is that it is a global trend, so effectively Ghanaians should shut up because the sliding of the cedi is a normal phenomenon.
Ghana is going nowhere with the NDC gov't and until they are voted out, such mediocrity, incompetence, mismanagement, indiscipline, and lack of vision to address the developmental issues of the country would be the lot of Ghanaians, whilst their loot their way into prosperity.
Ghanaians should be very worried with Ablakwa in the education ministry, because, he doesn't seem to know what he's talking about much less understand it, and for such a character to be spearheading efforts at educating our children, with this level of intellect, Ghanaians need to be very worried, very, very worried.
