It is good to educated our children. But when you put so much into education and leave other areas, that is another problem. We are building many schools when we cannot pay teachers. Why can't we use some of this money to create opportunities to produce and make money so we can pay the existing teachers and other civil servants and also to develop our country.

We must manufacture and produce goods. Why should we import car tyres. Why can't government buy back the Bonsa tyre factory and put it back to work so we get people employed and at the same time, save lot of foreign currency as a result of the importation of millions of tyres every year.

Why can't government put the glass factory back? The world bank would discourage us to do these things but look at America and Britain, when they suffered the economic crisis, government used its money so support private companies or bought them to maintain their existence.

Why can't we slowly bring back our railway? The lack of railway is putting so much pressure on road leading to accidents and roads spoiling. And bad roads is the big course for our importation of spare parts which is eating the Ghana Cedi away.

Why can't government introduce a system huge farms or plantations can be manned with our prisoners who are bored and are prepared to work. In return, prisoners can receive small payment which can help their families or maybe get their sentences reduced. Some prisoners after their terms are likely to enter into farming. We have thousands of well, able and willing to work prisoners just being wasted when the nation needs so much productivity.

The citizens of Ghana must stand up and define their own course. The aim of political parties is to win power but not to develop Ghana.

Good people of Ghana, lets create a medium where we can come up with good ideas and force any party in power to do what WE WANT; not what they want.

My neighbour who put up a huge mansion on an unauthorised and inappropriate piece of land when question quoted how much the house is worth in US dollars bragged that he own ten similar properties all over Accra. No one can touch him because he is into little politics. This is a man whom I know is not an entrepreneur and does not therefore add value to Ghana in terms of foreign currency. Where does he get the money from besides stealing from national confers in one way or the other?
