Brong Ahafo,has since time immemorial, been a farming/agricultural entity.Why turning to be importers of RAW AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT,if you have turned into processing the NUT?

THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT ENTERTAIN THIS,BUT COMPEL,ENCOURAGE,HELP THEM,RATHER TO ENGAGE IN HUGE PLANTATION OF THE NUT.
The processed nuts in Ghana would be more expensive than in IVORY COAST.
Therefore,the later will attract more buyers from abroad,hence accruing more foreign exchange to their country.
WE SHOULD KNOW THIS SIMPLE ECONOMICS.
That is why Ghanaian farmers should be encouraged,by the Ghana Ministry Of Agriculture,to plant rather than importing the raw cashews to process them in Ghana.

When are we cultivating and stop importations? There were a lot cashews in Axim area when I was a school kid in the 1960's. If they thrived well along the coastline, why can the farmers in the farming areas not cultivate them ...

Ghana's government must investigate the feasibility of banning all road transfer of cocoa beans from Ghana to Ivory Coast to discourage smuggling of Ghana cocoa for higher prices by farmers.
Cocoa farmers who desire to sell their beans in Ivory Coast may do so via the port to give government the opportunity to know how much of Ghana 's cocoa beans end up over there.
