The ordinary Ghanaian is struggling because of an ailing economy and your assertion is that a pastor is praying for the cedi because of impact on tithes in his church. As much as I thought Duncan Williams prayer was a joke, I think this coming from a 'former Ambassador" is not only the worst joke, but it shows that the so called elite, educated in Ghana are a disgrace to the world. How can a man of his IQ even be allowed to represent a sovereign nation like Ghana. Please, please God, save this nation, else we are doomed.

Why is Duncan Williams not up in arms against all the corruption that goes on in the country? The answer is some of the crooks attend his church and give him all kinds of lavish gifts and grow his bank accounts. It is that simple.
Any pastor who lives in an expensive gated community cannot be a serious Christian who cares for his flock. How do the members reach him at Trassaco Valley? What happened to good old mission houses next to churches?

But I equally expect circumspection from a former Ambassador who thinks Ghanaians become misers because of an ailing economy finds it a joke to equate that to inability to pay tithes. I find that joke equally distasteful especially coming from a 'Diplomat'

Every discerning Ghanaian knows this and therefore will never vote for the NDC.

But with Afari-Djan and his rigging machine still in charge of elections in Ghana, the stealers will always find their way into power.

The falling Cedi value must be a concern to the Government to address immediately. But it does not call for the kind of propaganda the former Ambassador and some Clergies are using it to whip up Congregations into frenzy.

Even the US Dollar and other currencies falter from time to time. It is how we cause the Public to react to it that makes things worse. A panicking Public would reject the Cedi more and more and demand Foreign Currencies for local day-to-day transactions. That in turn escalates the decrease in value of the Cedi. So, let the Ambassador act more patriotically by encouraging the Govt to act fast to arrest the Cedi fall instead of fanning the fire.

Meanwhile, how much of the Offertory do the Churches give to charitable causes in Ghana, anyway?

What is Adjei-Barwuah saying?If your Kuffuor NPP government which appointed you as the nation's ambassador to Japan had taken measures to expand the base of the economy to generate more revenue increasing tariffs on utilities might not have arisen.What measures did Kuffuor take to stop the nation's over-reliance on imports? Currencies aligned to the dollar are falling in value because of the most recent economic measures taken by the US Federal Reserve to stabilize the dollar.And this has affected the cedi. The NPP can never portray itself as a better'manager' of the economy.It bequeathed a high inflation economy and empty state coffers to the nation when it left office.
