Dear Kwaku Baako
It misleading to write that Bebaako wrote as secretary to Pres Mills because the response to the petition by E & P lawyer Lithur was written by Mr Bebaako Mensah ONLY AFTER President Mills died. The petition was before Mills died and the response from Bebaako Mensah to the Merchant to comment wa sin September 2012 when Mahama was already President. Why is Kwaku Baako not deliberately report in his paper that Bebaako MENSAH wrote as secretary to Pres Mill, a dead person ? instead of MAHAMA
kWAKU IS doing PR work for E & P . It is clear. KWAKU has always failed to comment on the morality of the circumstances the debt was incurred instead focuses the GOODNESS IN SETTLING THE DEBT. Where will the money transferred go. To FORTIZ ho csan chose to give it back to the debtor who is suspected to eb associated with if not owner of FORTIZ

ITS INTERESTING WHAT BAAKU'S INTEREST IS IN DEFENDING E&P AT ALL COST. EARLIER ON IN DECEMBER 2013 BAAKU SHIFTED THE DATE FOR THE PAYMENT BE E&P THRU EGYPT AXIM BANK TWICE. NOW HE IS TELLING AS THAT HE HAS CREDIBLE INFO THAT THE FULL AMOUNT OF 28MILLION DOLLARS WAS PAID ON JANUARY 30,2013.
FIRST, BAAKU SHOULD GET IT THAT THE FACT THAT 28 MILLION HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED BY AXIM BANK TO MERCHANT BANK ON IBRAHIM MAHAMA'S REQUEST DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE MONEY IS FOR THE PAYMENT OF WHAT HE OWNS THE BANK.FROM BAAKU'S OWN SOURCE, THIS AMOUNT OF 28 MILLION IS THE FIRST TRANCHE OF A MINING UTILISATION LOAN ARRANGEMENT WITH AXIM BANK. NOTHING IS SAID THAT THE MONEY IS TO BE USED TO FOR PAYMENT OF MONEY OWNED MB.i DON'T THINK AXIM BANK IS LOANING THE MONEY TO MAHAMA TO USE TO DEFRAY HIS DEBTS. THE LOAN IS RATHER A MINING UTILIATION ONE AS STATED BY THE SO CALLED REQUEST LETTER. WE NEED REAL EVIDENCE THAT IBRAHIM HAS PAID HIS DEBT. WHY CAN'T BAAKU SIMPLY GO TO FIND OUT FROM THE BANK? IN ANY CASE, IBAHIM MAHAMA ET AL HAVE ALREADY CAUSED DAMAGE TO MB LEADING TO ITS SALE TO THE LOWEST BIDDER, FORTIZ

Another important issue to consider is the value of foreign currencies in Ghana. Currencies like the australian dollar, the swiss franc, the danish kroner, Swedish krone have a high supply in Ghana but no demand. On the contrary the Chinese renmibi has a high demand in Ghana but the supply is very low. What should the value of these currencies be in Ghana.
More exports is not the only way to stabilize the cedi. Another important way to stabilize the cedi is to reduce the profits of foreign businesses operating within the country like the cell phone companies and the foreign banks. If their profits are reduced then the demand for foreign currencies would reduce. Foreign businesses like banks have their shareholders outside Ghana. Therefore whatever profit they make would have to be transferred to them. In other to do this they buy and transfer large volumes of foreign currency to them. This is another important way to stabilize the cedi.

The evidence of payment should not come from Kwaku Baako and his newspaper. When was he accredited as an Auditor to audit the accounts of the Republic of Ghana to confirm that a debt being owed to the people has been paid. The only credible sources of information on this issue should come from:
1. The Audited Annual Report of Fortiz Bank which shows that that debt has been retired.
2. The Audited Annual Report of SSNIT which shows that that loan on SSNIT books has been retired.
3. The Audited Annual Report of Access Bank (if we are to believe them) which proves that they have paid such an amount from loan receiveables from Afri-Import Bank.
4. The Audited Annual Report of Africa-Exim Bank which shows that they have facilitated such a facility to a Bank in Ghana on behalf of E & P.
5. The Report of the Auditor-General of the Rep of Ghana which shows that E&P does not own the people of Ghana through Fortiz any such amount.
As long as the information is not from any of these official sources but rented 3rd class Ghanaian newspaper take it with a pinch of salt!
