Yes, he was not alone and the ministers who should have made sure that he acted in the best interest of the state should also be held accountable. Ministers were ultimately responsible for GYEEDA and should therefore be held responsible for the mess under their watch. This man definitely could not be innocent.

They all kept quite and get donations from his contractors and now saying Pele misused the money should be a shame of the government.
Pele is an MP for Paga not an account at GYEEDA.
Pele did a very good job precribed to him by GYEEDA. Let all northerns ask themselfs who is GYEEDA and what is GYEEDA suppose to be for them. 80% of people wouldnt know.
The 20% who know are the NDC members and their contractors friends.
How can northerns think in planting tress and guinea fowl farm will give the youths jobs and training. We all saw the money been used for them and yet said nothing for over a year.

If you have nothing as far as this case is concerned, just go to the court and defend yourself! I urge the government not to be partial in this case and bring to book every single person found to be involved in it, no matter the political affilliations of that person, not to talk of family members, if there is any at all. For me, it is very sad, that am not going to waste my time on crimininals like the NPP and the NDC. I hope they are watching what is happening in Ukraine. Mahama should sit up and stop that nonsense of appointing his northern folks to positions that they can not handle. I am completely disapointed in you president Mahama! The last time I came to Ghana with investors, I spent almost three weeks giving bribes to your people just to see you but to no avail. We have to come back with all the lost. Scapegoating Abuga Pele & Akpeena Assibit is unjust and asinine; and any charges against them should be dropped.

The number culprit for GYIDAGATE unquestionably is poor governance, both from the executive & legislative branches. The president failed to lead and parliament failed to ask tough questions and give guidance.

Who authorized GYEEDA ?
What was its mission and goals?
What amount of Cedis did the Finance Minister allocate to it in the annual budget?
Was there a time line for the start and completion of the projects?
Was GYEEDA subjected to formative and summative evaluation?
Who and how was GYEEDA going to be monitored and evaluated by?
At the end of GYEEDA, what do we expect to see?

Before the contracts were signed between the government and the private firms was there legislative approval? Were bids submitted by Rlg Communications Training module, Asongtaba Cottage Industry & Exchange Programme(ACIEP), Better Ghana Management Services Ltd. etc.
Are all the private firms basically from the north? Smells like "Dzi Wo Fieh Asem" northern version - hence the caption GYIDAGATE.
