When Jake pre-empted the EC in 2004 and declared a win for Kufuor, Afari Gyan was quiet, NPP was full of his praises. NPP's smiles spread ear to ear, thinking they had everyone in Ghana. Most of us cherished the way Mills handled the situation when under normal circumstances, fake Jake should have been jailed.

Now Afari Gyan is every idiot's toothpick. The only reason I pity him is the fact that he might have regretted to have allowed a win for Kufuor in 2004.

1. Kenya's election was well before Ghana's. Hence prices would have changed.
2. You never gave any specifications with respect to the biometric machines used in both countries.
3. Kenya may have bought theirs at a discounted price (eg for bulk)or special/promotional/introductory price.
4. Different Companies/manufacturers/suppliers...
5.Effect of Inflation...
6.post sales guarantee/service... maybe Kenya bought it without service or replacement if they breakdown/malfunction or repairs for free within a specified time period.
7. Kenya's may have been supplied without certain accessories.

Curb this juvenile practice of levelling infantile accusations to gain undeserved cheap political points.

Learn to be a little sophisticated and critical thinker before coming out public with such uninformed pronouncements.

You can fool those few superficial thinking people who enjoy empty banter.

Even the so-called educated ones. Dividing the nation so dangerously between NPP and NDC. So each side tries to defend their end pointing accusing fingers at the other. Our "shit" does not smell only the other's. Or we don't see how bad our side has done but see everything wrong with the other side. It is this so-called equalization that will be our undoing.

I try to test the other side to see if we could be objective but we almost always fail the test. The day that we are able to see what is wrong with boths sides of our political divide, that will be the beginning of our way to a better nation.

Afari-Gyan, like him or hate him, is not and has never been the Ghanaian who set up and manages Ghana's procurement practices and procedures. It is the clowns at Ghana's parliament who over the years have put together a bunch of rules with loopholes to allow every well connected politician, family, friends and cronies to steal Ghana blind via the procurement process.
Where were you Mr. Kofi Jumah when the procurement of the voting machines took place? Where were the members entrusted with Ghana's procurement processes and practices? The people who should be in jail are Ghana's former and current parliamentarians and ex-presidents who have allowed massive stealing to take place just to make Ghana's poor look to them and their ill acquired riches as reasons to aspire to be a politician. Thank God the likes of Kofi Jumah could be a Kumasi mayor and not a mayor of any city where moral norms are preferred over money and riches.

Kuffour's NPP govt won 2X because people thought they had had enough with the Rawlings-led NDC govt. with all the suffering and oppression that went on back then. Nobody should try to distort facts about NPP's victory in elections; it only happened twice! There was nothing Afari-Gyan & Co. could do to stifle the results in 2004, leading into 2005 elections. In 2007-8 Afari-Gyan once again helped the NDC steal the ballot. It's a fact that some Ghanaians, notably NDC supporters won't admit.

With the figures given by Kofi Jumah, there is clear evidence of fraud an causing financial loss to the state by Afari-Gyan and his partners in crime at the EC. Other countries like Kenya have shown the way and we must all strive to follow their example than close our eyes on undeniable truths. If Atuguba was an honest judge, he should have recommended Afari-Gyan's incarceration as was evident by his admittance of fraud and massive irregularities during his cross-examination during the election petition hearing.
