Idiot, no European President will spend Christmas, a christian holiday in Moslem country, they are very intelligent and sensitive to issues of this nature. Nobody is saying Mahama does not deserve a holiday but an intelligent President will not go on vacation during christmas away from his country where economic conditions are very bad and spend more than one million dollars in Dubai where hotel rooms can cost as much as $6000 a night and a plate of dinner at these hotels cost $495 a olate.

Mahama spent two weeks in Dubai with the Presidential plane accumulating charges for packing not counting the fuel to Dubai and back and only God knows how many of his numerous children were on this trip plus Advisors and bodyguards. If they take 10 hotel rooms at a cost of a modest $1000 per room a night, that is 10,000 dollars a day times 14 days, $140,000 just for hotel bills not counting food, entertainment and laundry. Mahama is really dumb and no brain to rule Ghana.

About 40 years or so ago, Dubai was a dusty fishing village until the then Ruler, Sheikh Rashid had a vision to transform Dubai into what is presently, by far one of the most outstanding countries in the world, with still, yet more to come. His son whom John Mahama met, Sheikh Mohammmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is still pressing on to surpass, what has been achieved previously by rulers ahead of him.
Vision, leadership and sound commitment has made Dubai a modern day business and financial success story very much unparalleled on the surface of the earth, with it's growth unfolding right before our very eyes. Just 4 decades has transformed this land which was mainly sand into what John Mahama, has found it prudent to go for holidays.
Ghana can also become like Dubai, if leadership would eschew the looting and the corruption which has become the very air that the NDC gov't breathes in day in and day out and commit to a vision to transform our society on the back of our recent discovery of oil, instead of their crude and primitive stealing of our resources with impunity. Leadership, vision, commitment and a can do spirit and attitude, coupled with a high sense of competence and the mental capacity, acuity and focus, is what is needed to drive Ghana and not the present level of decadence, which is threatening to send Ghana back into the stone ages.
