Do you understand why the constitution gives the president FOUR YEARS to prosecute his national agenda (and another four years if the people think he is doing well?) Are you not naive in your thinking that because the president made certain promises, then even before his first anniversary in office he should make good of those promises.

If you were clamouring about the president's failure to deliver midway through his term, that would be understandable. But to do so when the man hasn't even crossed his first milestone smacks of hypocrisy - especially when he effectively started governing only after seven months in office due to the NPP's electoral dispute during which he was not even accepted by the opposition as a legitimate president!!

I heard a government minister say on radio that the said project was part of the government's public private partnership initiative. Some opinion have it that was another conduit for government looting. Thinking it was a joke, all the candidates laughed when I mentioned this at a project finance discussion. They had never heard of anything like that in the history of infrastructural development. National economic indicators (i.e. interest rates, inflation, etc.) don't look good. The country's credit rating is deteriorating. You don't need to assess the performance of the president at the end of four years. This type of assessment is out-of-date. You can predict the end based on current choices and action. But as it stands, the government looks to be going nowhere.

That is why every machinery that is put in place by the NPP to destroy the reputation of NDC leaders does not work.

Mahama must show Ghanaians the value that he has added to the socio-economic development of the country since he became president.Nothing!
Everything about him is in negative terms. He does not seem to know what he is about. He is only interested in knowing the privileges attached to his office and misusing them to his advantage without creating any value for the benefit of the country.
It is obvious that if care is not taken, Mahama's economic policies like that of Rawlings in 2000, would return the country to another HIPC before the end of 2014.
Mahama must stop traveling outside for pleasure, and sit down and do critical thinking to fix the economy.
AS it is now, Mahama is only interested in fixing the economy of his family and cronies at the expense of the state which amounts to day light robbery and stealing.
Mahama, where is Viki? How come that she left the country for the USA the very week that you made a trip to the USA. This was no coincidence,but a calculated ploy to prevent her appearance before the appointed committee to spill the beans. This ploy was infantile and disgraceful.

Talking is very necessary particularly for the President. He has not been elected to lead a secluded life or a private life. A private citizen can afford to be quiet and work hard in the dark but the President must not do that. He is the most public official around and he need to be seen and heard all the time. The Team Ghana he captains must know his game plan every step along the way for optimum results. And there is no better occasion to do this than on the eve of a new year.
The hypocrisy in the PPP man's verdict on the President is that, insignificant as he and his party are in the political affairs of Ghana, they always want to be seen and heard.

A wild Guinea fowl was standing in a field chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,â€ sighed the wild Guinea, "but I haven't got the energy."

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients."

The Guinea fowl pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. And so on.

Finally, after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree, whereupon he was spotted by a farmer who dashed into the farmhouse, emerged with a shotgun, and shot the Guinea fowl right out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.
