Indeed Akans in general and Ashantis in particular, have been discriminated against for a long time despite the fact that about 90% of income from natural resources are from Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and western regions. Almost all development projects: roads, industries, housing, tertiary institutions, hospitals etc etc are sited in Greater Accra, Volta and the Northern Regions. For how long should this trend continue? Rawlings started it and NDC has continued to this day. Today Akans cannot pay exhorbitant fees to educate their children while millionaires and billionaires from the North and Volta regions including president Mahama and his brother have free education and free health for their children. Mahama said free education is not good for us but good for his chidren, tribesmen and party members. Is this hatred and descrimination not enough recipe for disaster? In Ashanti, many poor people die young and prematurely because they are refused treatment. Ghanaians must wake up and say NO! to all forms of injustice and descrimination otherwise nobody will be safe in the foreseeable future.

Your wrong use of words cause people to go into politics with the Akan THING that Akuffo Addo used, and I qoute ''we the Akans will fight back for all die be die''. Akan is not a tribe but it is a term used to describe the similarities in the languages spoken by the ten tribes in Ghana, namely-- Ahanta, Akwamu, Akwapim, Akyem, Ashante, Bono, Fante, Kwahu, Nzema, Sefwi.

Besides, thanks for your comments about the negative and hypocritical reactions of Kufour and his blind followers who failed to speak out against the wicked actions taken by doctors with their strikes.

The NHIA should have done more than expected for all regions but how come it is like this today, that it could not do more as expected.

Is the cause not from Kufour who was aware that he left office with debt yet he introduced the [SSSS] single spine salary structure which today is causing the government to spend more money than it generates nationally.

The same scanty money in hand of the present government is used to cater for public workers including the medical doctors, so Kufour should not make comments of hypocrisy when by intelligence he is very of the damage he caused to the present economy.

The SSSS, the headache to the economy Kufour introduced and run away and left it to the incoming government to face difficulties with its implimentation so that the said NHIA and the general economy will not perform as expected since money is sine quo non to the real power and effectiveness in fulfilment of everything.

In Kufour's mind the failure the SSSS could cause will a lay a future stage to stand on to lambast any government that takes over from him, so that people could see him as the best president of Ghana.

Naturally Kufour is a selfish and greedy bofoon in Ghana politics that God has exposed lately with all that he did with the Waterville judgement debt deal that motivated Woyome also to steal with the same Waterville strategy. Ghanaians need to wake from sleep to know their politicians.
