  A taxi driver is reported to have told the Nima police that he overheard two guys saying in a taxi conversation that Afriyie and Kofi Manu, popularly called ‘Blue Blue’ have contracted them to kill the controversial radio presenter who is an arch critic of the GFA.
  
  Instead of reporting the two guys, who he claims have been hired to carry out the killing, to the police station, the taxi driver strangely said he dropped them off in Abeka before leaving all the police stations in Abeka, Tesano and Alajo and travelled all the way to the Nima police station to report the matter.
  
  This is what led to the Nima police to strangely invite the duo to the police station.

  A Sports broadcaster which in Ghana is referred to as a Sports Presenter by name Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as ‘Countryman Songo’ is said to have become an assassination target of two Ghana FA officials, George Afriyie and Kofi Manu, popularly called ‘Blue Blue’ in this bizarre allegation based solely on a Taxi Drivers claim. The question that popped up in my brain when I read this story which a lot of people might be asking themselves too is WHY WOULD THE TWO GENTLEMEN WANT THIS WEED HEAD 'Countryman Songo' to be "ghosted"?
  
  According to this Countryman Songo, he has no personal animus against the two and therefore this came as a surprise to him but he attributes that to maybe his constant bribery allegations against their Boss, GFA President, `Kwesi Nyantakyi.
  
  How did this come about? A taxi driver is reported to have told the Nima police that he overheard two guys saying in a taxi conversation that Afriyie and Kofi Manu, popularly called ‘Blue Blue’ have contracted them to kill the controversial radio presenter who is an arch critic of the GFA.
  
  I have listened to this Countryman Songo guy on his popular program, 'Fire for fire' and know he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer but this botched attempt to seek sympathy from the public in his impending trial for defamation suit brought by the GFA President against him is even beneath him. This concocted or planned story by Countryman Songo and his paymasters is too juvenile even a freshman High School student in USA could have done a better job.
  
  Folks, let's examine the Taxi Drivers story and see if his story makes any sense.
  
  According to the Taxi Driver, he overheard the two guys saying Afriyie and Kofi Manu, popularly called ‘Blue Blue’ have contracted them to kill the controversial radio presenter who is an arch critic of the GFA.
  
  First, let's look at the word "CONTRACTED". These two guys, let's even assume there was actually two guys in his Taxi will start talking about this criminal enterprise in a car. How did this conversation go?
  
  Passenger One(P1) to Passenger two(P2)
  
  (P1) You know we are going to kill Countryman Songo for a lot of money?
  
  (P2)Really? We are going to get paid for ghosting that weed head?
  
  (P1)Yes, Mr Afriyie and Kofi Blue Blue told us we are going to get paid if we can send that weed head to join the silent majority?
  
  (P2)Damn!!!, I didn't know that?
  
  As Passenger two exclaimed in his last response, why would the two engage in this conversation in a taxi as if one of them don't know the plot already.
  
  No normal criminals will hold a planned criminal activity in a Taxi with a strange Taxi diver within earshot. The fact is that, this is an event concocted in the head of a paid Taxi Driver that did not take place.
  
  As human beings, we all have common sense, at least, most of us have common sense to know that such conversations are conducted in secrecy and not infront of strangers and this Taxi Driver should be investigated to find out if he has any prior contact with Countryman Songo or people associated with Countryman Songo because this is a diversionary tactic employed by Countryman Songo and his Paymasters to counter and seek public sympathy for the impending defamation suit brought against him which is about to be adjudicated in court.
  
  Why will this Taxi Driver drop these two passengers off at Abeka instead of driving them to the nearby Police station and leaving all the police stations in Abeka, Tesano and Alajo and travelled all the way to the Nima police station to report the matter?
  
  This is really strange and sad even the so called Captain Smart who think he is the smartest person on Radio interviewed this guy on his Morning program and intoned about his own spiritual powers through prayers that can bring calamity onto anybody who plots against him. The celebrity nonsense has gone into the heads of these ready to hire Journalists who are available for the right price to parrot the nonsense of their paid masters.

  Folks, it's South Africa all over again.Daara is lying about 10 million dollars having been returned to the budget in 2010, that is a big lie.We were all in the country when we could not even find money to feed and board the so called 1,500 supporters we sent to South Africa and four years later this guy is telling us 10 million dollars was returned to the budget? These people think all Ghanaians are fools.The only money returned to Ghana was the amount the team won as Quarter Finalists qualifier.It's really unbelievable this man can even open his mouth and tell us they are sending parliamentary delegation, governmental delegation etc. Since they are at it, why don't they send the Judicial delegation too since they have catered to two branches of government?   Deputy Sports Minister Nii Nortey Dua has advised stranded soccer fans who are still nursing the ambitions of travelling to South Africa to rent accommodation in Accra and pretend they went to South Africa.
  
  “Some people are saying that they have bid farewell to their family relations and their friends that they are going to South Africa. So if they go back they will feel very ashamed that they are not able to go. “Such people should go and hire proper place of accommodation and stay so that after the tournament they can go back and give the impression that they were in South Africa,” the Deputy Sports Minister told Elvis Adjetey on Joy FM Wednesday."

  That is exactly what the NDC social democrats "I care for you poor folks" Minister told the hungry and tired supporters who have spent about three days at that stadium through no fault of theirs. The stupidity of this Atta Mess government is beyond comprehension. Are Ghanaians aware this administration is spending 18 million dollars during this soccer tournament on Blackstars players, officials and suppoters? You didn't know that did you? Yes, your I care for you government have no money to buy and build maternity wards at our hospitals to properly care for expectant mothers but it has money to send people to go and watch soccer matches.
  
  Wait a minute, this idiot of a minister is not even done spewing his sophomoric vituperations towards the supporters. When these supporters and some Ghanaians voiced their displeasure about the Minister's choice of words, instead of rendering an apology for his stupidities, he compounded the situation with more stupidities the following day.

  Fellow Ghanaians, this idiot of a man is a member of Parliament and I don't know what his constituents saw in this buffoon of an idiot to vote for him. I hope the juggernaut of their votes next time would teach this fool to learn how to respect others and learn the lessons of empathy and humility. This oscitant Nii Nortey idiot has no business to occupy that position but this administration is soo bereft of intellectuals any fool who can breath and write his first name is seen as qualified to occupy a responsible position.
  
  How did we end up in this mess? Your President and his team thought spending about 4.5 million dollars baksheesh to NDC supporters to go and watch soccer matches is more important than using that money to buy at least five MRI machines for Korle-Bu, Okomfo Anokye, Tamale, Sunyani and Ho Regional hospitals. The sad part of it is that, as a country, we only have one MRI machine at Korle-Bu which broke down due to constant power outages and patients who need MRI scans are denied that service. Remember one of these same Blackstars members has to be sent to Nigeria sometime ago to get an MRI scan done because as a country, we don't have one of this important health care equipment.
  
  The I care for you poor people government of this Atta Mess government has no money to build classrooms for our poor folks but it has money to bribe NDC supporters to go and watch soccer mathes in South Africa.
  
  Do you know why Atta Mess careless about you and your children? He gets his medical care in China and South Africa and has no children to care about and his Ministers and government officials can go to USA to have their children born in modern hospitals and leave them behind to be educated by taxpayers in USA. Atta Mess care more about his four big dogs than his own out of wedlock child he banished to a village in central Region.
  
  Just today it was reported in the forum that, most children in the Upper East are schooled under trees because there is no money to build schools, how pathetic. Our priorities as a nation is really screwed up. How can we neglect the basic needs of our children and spend about 4.5 million dollars for 1,500 soccer supporters to go and watch soccer matches? Yes, some of the stranded supporters at the El-Wak stadium were airlifted to South Africa today, June 17th 2010 to go and watch the games. Is this not beautiful? The same day our precious children were reported to be schooling under trees due to lack of money, your President and his government were able to come up with the needed money to send people to go and watch soccer matches leaving the schools under trees at their own fates.
  
  This government duped Ghanaians by promising to fly two thousand supporters from all walks of life irrespective of your political affiliation to South Africa to support our gallant young men holding our prestige high in South Africa but trimmed the number to 1,040 due to financial constraints, according to the NDC government. Mysteriously, the majority of the fans flown to South Africa turned out to be NDC supporters, "Ei, ASEM BEBA DABI OOOO, YOOOO". The supporters went to South Africa in three batches, with an initial 540 arriving on Saturday, June 12, followed by 250 each arriving on Sunday, June 13 and Monday, June 14. They are housed in a hostel called Muzinda Residence located on the outskirts of Pretoria. An interesting phenomenon is the fact that the supporters cut across age, sex and social class, and were drawn from different government agencies, departments, professional bodies, soccer affiliated bodies, and political orientation in the country, with members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) for obvious reasons in the majority.
  
  That was the purpose all along for 'Atta Mess and his Konongo Kaya' team to send NDC supporters to South Africa. This NDC administration is a disgraceful lot. While the deputy Minister of Sports was telling Soccer supporters to rent a room in Accra and then go to their various abodes after the soccer tournament, another deputy Minister was telling these supporters to hang on because the government was trying to source money from some 'rich NDC friends' to send them to South Africa. This is not a government that seems to have its house in order . How can two government officials give conflicting messages to the same people?
  
  "His comments come amidst assurances to the supporters by Deputy Local Government Minister, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah that the remaining supporters at the stadium will be airlifted to South Africa. But the Deputy Sports Minister says neither the ministry nor the planning committee is aware of that arrangement. "He reiterated that the government is incapable of funding their trip, having already airlifted 1,000 fans to South Africa under the government funded initiative to support the Black Stars."
  
  My belief is that, this stupid Deputy sports Minister is intentionally kept out of the loop due to his stupidity because some of those supporters he was telling to go and rent a room in Accra were airlifted to South Africa when he was making his stupid speeches.

  President Mahama has called for an investigation into why the Blackstars failed to qualify in Brazil.President Mahama said we need to look at the team as a whole. We need to set up a committee to look at the whole system of what happened in Brazil 2014 right from the preparation, through the build up to the World Cup, to when they went to Brazil, to what happened in Brazil until they came back.
  
  Why is the President so insistent in looking into everything? My sources in Brazil have given me so many sordid details about the behavior of some officials sent to Brazil by this government the coming days will be interesting when the team return to Ghana. The behavior of the Sports Minister who was following his rumoured Actress girlfriend in Brazil like a child in candy store and ignored theneeds of the team will come out. Some of the Ambassadors sent to Brazil as a camouflage to for different reasons will come out too. One of these ladies is rumoured to have slept with three different Blackstars players and the jealousies brought about because of some of these singers and Actresses in the Ghanaian contingent is too sad and salacious it willnot be right to write about it here.
  
  What the government should investigate is what happened to the Sports Ministry $9.6 million supposed budget to the Blackstars team.
  
  Some of the questions the Minister of Sports and these forty seven (47) or so government Officials should be asked are;
  
  Who received this $9.6 million money at GFA?
  
  How much money was raised by these Ambassadors. John Dumelo, one of the Ambassadors who went to Brazil said the Ambassadors raised more than $2 million . Let the Sports Minister explain how this money was spent.
  
  Name all the government Officials who accompanied the team to Brazil and why it was expedient for them to be there.
  
  The team was paid appearance money for the three friendly matches they played against Montinegro, Netherlands and Korea. How much did the team earn in the three matches and if the money was given to GFA or the Ministry of Sports.
  
  If the team was financed by the Sports Ministry to the tune of $9.6 million, why did the GFA demand an advance from FIFA?
  
  How much money was actually airlifted to Brazi? According to a Bank source, the money airlifted to Brazil was more than the three million dollars and it was as much as $4.5 million.
  
  Why so much money? Even if we pay the twenty three (23) Players $100,000 each, why did we need so much dollars going outside the country?
  
  The term is APPEARANCE FEES and should have been given to the Players in Ghana where some of it would have ended in the economy with the Players spending some in Ghana with their families. Now this money is out of our system.
  
  Did the government law whereby one is restricted in how much foreign currency can be taken out from one's account affected the Players insistence not wanting the government to put the money in their accounts in Ghana?
  
  These are some of the questions the administration should investigate to see if its own bad banking policies are affecting the flight of foreign currencies from the system making the depreciation of the cedi an unstoppable train wreck.
  
  Ghana has become the butt of jokes in late night comedy shows in USA where the $3 million airlifted to the team has become an international scandal and an embarrassement to Ghanaians all over the world.
  
  Even Kwesi Pratt, Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, can attest to this jokes as the Mahama government decision to to fly a cash amount of $3 million to the Black stars in Brazil has made the country a laughing stock.

  What is this? Is Ghana a banana republic operating a 20th century administration whereby we lack banking system where money deposited in an account in one country can be accessed in another country within a day we have to carry 3 million dollars in cash to Brazil with a rumoured twenty five people accompanying this money to Brazi? The laws in Brazil is even against this method of doing business. Brazilian officials said bringing in $3 million in cash and not declaring it to authorities would be illegal and the entire amount could be confiscated. Individuals cannot bring in more than $4,500 each without having it subject to taxes, said Brazil's Federal Police, who enforce custom and immigration laws.
  
  Was it even necessary for GFA to ask FIFA for advance payment of our $8 million prize? This is disgraceful to the country. It was reported that,Ghana's cash-strapped football association has asked for an advance on the $8 million prize money it is guaranteed from the World Cup to pay outstanding debts to players.
  
  "FIFA said Wednesday that Ghana's request was ''under evaluation.''
  
  Why should we be cash strapped if the Sports Ministry gave GFA $9.6 million? As I wrote in my previous article, the Sports Ministry told Ghanaians that this money was to take care of the team and the Ministry will not demand it back from GFA when it gets it prize money of $8 million back because they knew from the onset that this money was not for the Blackstars but for its own officials and Party members expenses that is why they told the nation they will not ask the GFA to pay it back.
  
  "President Mahama has emphasized the need to establish a committee to investigate the circumstances that led to the elimination of the Black Stars from the World Cup tournament.According to him, the decision to fuse the old players with the new ones partly contributed to the loss."
  
  Yes, I do agree with President Mahama that there should be an investigation but the problem is not the mixture of old Players with young players. If that is the case then his government should be investigated for mixing the baby teeths in his government with the old giraffes in his government.Money is the root of all problems and not different here. His Sports Ministry should be investigated about how the government $9.6 million was spent and other matters.
  It should include the previous world cup in 2010 and 2006. In 2010 for instance, the prize money we won was $14 million but Akua Densuah, the Minister of Sports at that time declared only $11 million and that should be investigated too. I am done for now but more will be coming until all the government explain to Ghanaian Taxpayers how their money are being squandered by corrupt government officials and GFA.
