A convicted murderer of Ghanaian descent who was jailed for life for stabbing a teenager to death has escaped from a mental health centre.

Lerone Michael Boye ran away from the John Howard Centre in Kenworthy Road, Homerton, east London, at about 2pm today

Boye, 27, was sentenced to life last December for the murder of Kelvin Chibueze and told he must serve a minimum of 28 years.

His 17-year-old victim was fatally stabbed at the Arteflex Club in Ilford High Road, east London, on August 15 2011.

He was chased out of a birthday party and attacked with glass and broken bottles.

Boye's three co-accused are also serving life sentences.

Boye is described as black, about 5ft 10in and of slim build with short black hair and a goatee beard.

He has a horseshoe-shaped scar on his right cheek.

He was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey or blue sweatshirt with a grey vest over the top.

He is known to have links to the Ilford area.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach him but call 999.

Anyone with any information about Boye's whereabouts can also call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Meanwhile, a mental health worker has appeared in court after he was accused of helping Lerone Boye escape from custody.

Dean Ablakwa, 29, from north London, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with conspiracy to assist an offender to escape from lawful custody, Scotland Yard said.

This Fortiz/Merchant bank deal deal from all indications is putrid, it stinks to the high heavens and nothing can justify such an atrocious deal, when Ghanaian taxpayers, from all indications are not getting any VALUE FOR MONEY in this stinking deal. Omane Boamah, MD should seek to explain why an equity firm which cannot even boast of the asset base to even acquire a non-financial banking license, should be made to take on this onerous task of not even a merger, but a full complete acquisition of Merchant bank, when Ghanaian taxpayers, have been offered far, far better VALUE FOR MONEY propositions from identifiable bodies with a portfolio of assets eclipsing over 100 billion dollars? It is indeed mindboggling the level of impunity and recklessness which has been unleashed on the affairs on governance by this NDC gov't. IT IS WITH THE COURTESY OF DELIGHTED JOY AND EXCITEMENT THAT I AM RESPECTFULLY SENDING THIS RELATED ABOVE GOODWILL MESSAGE TO BOTH HIS EXCELLENCIES OF THIS HISTORIC 3 DAYS OFFICIAL VISIT TO GHANA BY THE PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA.
THAT THE TWO COUNTRIES HAVE A LONG TIES OF BOND OF FRIENDSHIPS EVEN AT THE TIME GHANA THAT GHANA ATTAINED INDEPENDENCE ON MARCH 6, 1957 AND LATER BECAME A REPUBLIC ON JULY 1, 1960 WHILE SOUTH AFRICA WAS STILL UNDER SUBJUGATION OF THE APARTHEID REGIME.
THAT GHANA NEVER GAVE UP ON SOUTH AFRICA SINCE THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF GHANA WHO WAS ALSO THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER OF GHANA ON THE DAY OF INDEPENDENCE THE LATE OSAGYEFO DR.KWAME NKRUMAH POSTULATED AMONGST OTHERS THAT "THE INDEPENDENCE OF GHANA IS MEANINGLESS UNLESS IT IS LINKED UP WITH THE TOTAL LIBERATION OF THE CONTINENT".
THEREFORE BY THIS RELATED ABOVE POSTULATION BY THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF GHANA MEANT THAT GHANA IS/WAS IMMINENTLY CONCERNED WITH THE TOTAL INDEPENDENCE OF ALL COUNTRIES ON THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA.
THAT IT IS GRATIFYING TO SAY THAT THE ENTIRE CONTINENT HAS BEEN LIBERATED.
HOWEVER, IT TOOK SOUTH AFRICA TO FINALLY "NAILED TO THE WALL" THE APARTHEID REGIME NOT THROUGH VIOLENCE BY THE MEANS OF ADOPTION OF DIALOGUE AS A STRATEGY THAT CULMINATED IN THE RELEASED OF H.E.FORMER PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA NELSON MANDELA FROM PRISON AND WITH THE FULL VIGOUR OF CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY USHERED HIM AS THE FIRST ELECTED BLACK PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA AND FOLLOWED SUIT WITH H.E. FORMER PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA AND NOW H.E.PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA JACOB ZUMA.
THAT THE LATE FIRST PRESIDENT OF GHANA OSAGYEFO DR.KWAME NKRUMAH AGAIN SAID THAT "FORWARD EVER AND BACKWARD NEVER IN THE COURSE/CAUSE OF FREEDOM AND JUSTICE".
FURTHERMORE, HE SAID THAT "IN THE PAST THE SAHARA HAS DIVIDED US BUT TODAY THE SAME SAHARA HAS UNITED US THEREFORE AN INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL OF US".
THAT I WOULD BE DOING A DISSERVICE TO GHANA IF I DID NOT MENTION THE ALONE VOICE CRYING IN GHANA AT THAT TIME FOR "DIALOGUE" TO BE ADOPTED TO RESOLVE THE SOUTH AFRICAN APARTHEID CRISIS INSTEAD OF "ISOLATION AND MEANS OF VIOLENCE" AND IT WAS THE LATE SECOND PRIME MINISTER OF GHANA PROFESSOR ABREFA KOFI BUSIA.
THAT I WOULD LIKE AT THIS JUNCTURE TO PAUSE HERE AND TO LEAVE THE REST OF THE HISTORY FOR OTHERS TO ACCOUNT FOR.SINCE IT IS MY FIRM BELIEVED THAT "NO ONE PERSON IS A RECIPROCITY OR PARAGON OF KNOWLEDGE AND TO PURPORT SO IS A SELF DEFEATIST SYNDROME AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM WE HAVE IN GHANA AND MAY BE AFRICA TODAY WHEN PEOPLE FAILED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE TREMENDOUS ACHIEVEMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS OF OTHERS TOWARDS NATIONAL, REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS.
IT IS AT THESE RELATED BACKDROPS THAT I AM RESPECTFULLY URGING HIS EXCELLENCIES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT EVERY COUNTRY IN THIS PLANET WORLD HAS/HAVE THEIR OWN RELATED HISTORIES AND THAT FACTS CANNOT BE UNDER-ESTIMATED. BUT FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY AND WITH THE REALIST APPROACH REALIZATION THAT "INTER-DEPENDENCE IS THE NEW ORDER OF THE 21ST CENTURY DISPENSATION OF SMART DIPLOMACY AND GHANA AND SOUTH AFRICA CANNOT AFFORD TO BE LEFT OUT BUT TO JOIN THE LARGER AND THE BIGGER "SOCIETY" WHERE THE ECONOMICS PRINCIPLE OF LARGE SCALE ECONOMY WOULD OPERATE.
THAT HISTORY ITSELF ACCOUNTS FOR EVENTS THAT OCCURRED LONG AGO, AND WE COULD VIVIDLY ACCOUNT FOR "EXPANSIONISTS TENDENCIES THAT OPERATED IN EVEN THE CONTINENT BEFORE COLONIZATION WHEN TRIBAL LEADERS WAGED WARS AGAINST EACH OTHERS FOR DOMINATION AND POWER.
HOWEVER, WITH THE EMERGENCE OF COLONIZATION AND INDEPENDENCE THAT THESE RELATED TRIBES ARE BONDED UNDER NATIONAL TERRITORIAL BOUNDARIES AND WITH THEIR OWN COUNTRY SPECIFIC NAMES LIKE GHANA AND SOUTH AFRICA THE FOCUS POINT, THERETO.
IT IS THEREFORE MY RESPECTFUL SUBMISSION TO THOSE WHO ARE LITERATES BUT MADE THEMSELVES SEMI-LITERATES TO RE-RESEARCH EVENTS CAREFULLY WITH CRITICAL ANALYSIS AND TO HELP THEM CHANGE THEIR MYOPIC MINDSETS.
