The fight against corruption, abuse of power and impunity must be proactive and not reactive. We do not need to wait to be charged with poor leadership in fighting it before reacting in seeking to show leadership where we had all the opportunity but failed to be proactive.
Good leaders act; they do not wait to react to situations. Ghanaians will have difficulty electing another President from the geo-political north which the President and myself come from for more than thirty years after he has left office should this President fail to fight corruption, abuse of office and impunity in obedience to our ancestors and God during his tenure of office. Mark my words!

pepeni the only good and honorable thing you can do is to resign so the peace and unity of the nation can be rebuilt on new fair and proper foundations. Any thing else will bring disaster and pain mainly to your own , learn from the bible though the Egyptians were once brothers to the Israelite it did not stop them from oppressing them as today your pepeni and ayigbe nkwaseafuo are doing to the Akans today . watch has the hand of God systematically exposes you and unite the children of Akan. you orchestrated the murder of mills and now bribed the judges as you think in your unscrupulous pepeni mind that you must rule at all costs ,all you have gained is the despising hate in every Akans man's eyes today. you should have been impeached by now but since your ndc is so corrupt and partners in crime they can not have the courage to do the right thing so we shall have a revolution and war instead. you make empty promises of a better future but we all know all you did was pack your budget with recycled npp projects that will never come to be due to one arm bandit tactics of your bureaucrats and below average incompetent corrupt ministers . pepeni has the mentality of always taking but never contributing anything and with that mindset they think they can rule , no they can only be ignored and avoided as is the situation today , only criminal engage this useless illegitimate govt. your propaganda continues with their lies and even tried to re-brand you now as an Akan but we can not be fooled as an Akan leader will never do the things you do. Victoria has exposed you and there is more to come to show how useless you are. Thanks to you the npp/ndc political divide is giving way to the Akan and anti Akan divide and slowly all realize there is no politics than tribal hegemony so must look out for their own. the lies of the unity of the nation don't work when its only expected of the Akans .long live the republic of Akan

Instead for NPP Parliamentarians to remain on their seats and reasonably arguing why increasing VAT at this time will not help Ghanaians, NPP Parliamentarians chose to walk-out and went home to sleep in anger - what were they expecting from the NDC Majority?
NPP is the Minority, so the fact that they had walked out didn't mean NDC was crippled. And they went ahead to enact the law as they had wanted to do.
NPP Parliamentarians have lost their purpose for going to Parliament. They fill a very important position to defend the ordinary Ghanaian through debates and opposing any unreasonable laws but NPP, instead, has chosen, "walking away in anger", as the solution to Ghana's problems.
I think NPP Parliamentarians are rather failing Ghanaians and the respective Constituencies that brought those NPP Parliamentarians to Parliament.

What else can Ghanaians expect with Barton-Odro being in the speaker's chair when it happened? If he could connive with his "band of swindlers" to milk the nation dry, supervising a bill "ducked" into Parliament to pass was a much easier task for him. What we know to be true in our legislature is that a majority of them there think only of their political future and fortunes but not the good the entire citizenry. A bunch of rubber-stamp majority MPs. There's nothing actually honorable about most of them. The Executive is no better.

Mensah Bonsu is frustrating himself and at the same time presenting himself as a child who forgot things of the past.
After NPP had demonstrated against the VAT increase during Rawlings NDC, immediately the NPP came into power under Kufour, they increased the same VAT increament they had earlier vehemently and aggreesively opposed with the term KUMIPREKU.
Is it not the same foolishness and childish village mentality that they are exhibiting again? Have they forgotten the way they handled the VODAFONE affairs where they totally refused to listen to any little idea coming from the Opposition NDC that time.?
Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, it is time for one to come to his senses, I believe you have to stop being childish and infantile in your political behaviours as there is the need to start realising that unity will lead us far, while divided village mentality will surely retard our national progress and development.

These charlatans can only have their way with the "uninitiated",who will fall for this 'grand posturing'!. Since the NPP caucus wants everybody to believe that it is anti-tax,and thinks like members of the Tea Party in the US, why does`nt it stick around and vote down the measure.
These people want to have their cake and eat it too. What a confused bunch!
