today our country has the notorious reputation of being one of the most corrupt in the world thanks to pepeni and his band of thieves . we told everyone we knew he had no plan or program to develop the nation except pillage the little monies left and yet today the claim that they could not perform because of a petition . look at their ministers who anything more than 3 pages is a challenge to read talk less of projects whose summaries alone can be over 5000 pages , they are so lazy and selfish that nothing good can come from them . their chief ideologist of evil avenoor was killed and i had planned to go to his grave and urinate and relieve myself on him once every month but he cremated himself i guess i will do so instead on rawlings grave soon. workers are on strike because they know this azaa govt has no clue and in this day and age considering the wealth of the nation no one should work for less than 1000 cedis or 500$ but if free education was such a challenge how can they ever fathom such a reality . they are hopeless so we are preparing for our revolution and telling all righteous to sharpen their knives and bury their guns to wait for for the clarion call. they think they have fooled the Akans especially the fantis , a third of their votes came from the fantis but there is not a single substantiate minister who is a true fanti . they wage war against us Akans but when we come our and call foul they say we are liars . we are ready now so let them bring it on . long live the republic of Akan

In such countries, as we experience in the Western World, vigorous investigative journalism is one of the major ways of combating corruption, through the publications of bad governance and corruptive practices. Kwesi Pratt works in the Fourth Estate, MEDIA, whose primary duty of care is to help check malpractices, bribery, corruption and underhand dealings in government and the public sector. But what does it do? Led by loquacious journalist Kwesi Pratt, they looked away as parasites and scavengers descend on a poor country's resources in a way never seen in the annals of a free democracy as ours. The role of media practitioners like Kwesi Pratt in the pillaging of our resources by these Politicians was to first divert attention from the rampant stealing of our monies by their comrades with publication of sensational populist stories of imaginary enemies of the people, whiles refusing to scrutinise governance and bureaucracy of their own nation. Kwesi Pratt is forever in the forefront of the Media but could not detect nor investigated the malfeasance highlighted in the Auditor General's Report. By so doing, the media as led by Kwesi Pratt has failed in their duty to help keep watch over the National Purse. He was clearly bribed by Politicians. Kwesi Pratt does not even understand the implications of having a Free Press juxtaposed with the title of a most corrupt country in the region. It implies Kwesi Pratt, the leading light of Ghana's Journalism has FAILED in his profession to help check corruption! Ghana has Free Press but still so corrupt! Just read our daily or weekly papers and examine the number of grammatical errors contained in them

These journalists have simply NO RESPECT FOR TENSES. They just jam everything together, and I doubt if there are proof readers for the various media houses.

Until and unless we have well educated journalists this is what we shall be subjected to daily, till thy kingdom come. Amen. Owurade/Nyame Buame journalists. What a shame!

Pratt to start with is NOT disputing the fact that there is corruption, in Ghana, he is only saying that Ghana is NOT the third most corrupt country in the WORLD. So simple, my 8yr old grand daughter understands this perfectly.

In your haste to condemn a whole party(NDC)you have just exhibited your absolute ignorance, and your inability to spell simple words like (CHARGE..gharge, DEBTS...jdebts, THOUGH...tho...Ghana...Ghana...lol)

The Corruption Index is NOT and I repeat NOT based on just the ruling government of a nation, it covers the citizenry, most especially the civil service, police, Ports authority, IRS etc etc, then of course the government, which includes, the executive(President and his team) the Legislators(MPS) and of course the Judiciary(judges, magistrates).Even the Press can not be left out, in Ghana's situation because there are some journalists who would demand some form of inducement before publishing news on events they have been assigned to.

So, one can not single out a President and say he is the cause of all the corruption in the system. "apuuu"

When they say Ghana is corrupt, it means a lot more people are as corrupt as the government. CEPS, IRS, Police Service, Immigration, Airport officials, bankers, accountants, (civil servants), There is generally "Kalabule" every where etc etc etc.

These are some of the determinants of Corruption Indices.

So James you need some basic education to understand some of these topics before you rush into your myopic concept of blaming individuals, or groups. GED.

The reason you are so impervious to reasoning is, you are so unlucky to have been born decades after I was, and I am not going to bully you with my age advantage of being raised in the 50s and 60s, at a time when one had to get credits in Mathematics and English Language to advance to the Sixth form and then the University.

I am sure you do see the type of journalists our country is turning out don't you?

I would not waste any time on you further considering that I may have thought your father, in primary or middle school, when I had to take time off to teach at a point in my life. And for your information, the spelling is English, and not english, and John Mahama is the name and not john mahama.

I do not care how you were raised, but the President would continue to be the President of Ghana whether you like it or not, until he is voted out. I do not think it would equally be right for any NDC member to spell President J. Kuffour's name the way you are spelling President Mahama's name.

You need a lot of upbringing, aside the fact that you do not even know how to spell. It is not too late to learn. As my contribution, I would be more than willing to pay one of my grand kids to teach you how to spell, and construct sentences. Your name even speaks a lot about you. For instance the research should have made us know the demographics of the people interviewed. The sample size and how it was selected whether it was representative or not. So for instance demograhphics such as age,political affiliations,ethnic group, place the person works and few others can easily affect such perception. Remember and even the kind of things that were discussed more in the radio at that time. For instance they said the data was collected at the time Wayome'S case was haywire. If you ask anyone at that time based on wayome'S case who have a perception of the government being corrupt meanwhile he or she doens't know the details. Again for instance, under NDC government if you go to Abossey Okine spare parts area an asked them thier perception of corruption in Profs government most of them are likely to say it is worst in the same way when you go to Denu in volta and asked them the same questions their perception will be different. So even if the data was made available and we do simple crosstabulation of ethnicity, job, place of work against the rating of perception of corruption under the government you will see the figures showing clearly baisedness based on that. Apart from that, the research was talking about percentages. Which reseacher will rely on only mans of a scale without testing it significance whether it is true or not. They should go back to America and do a research in predominate white towns and used the same scaling and questions to ask their perception of OBAMA's government against Bush and see the answers. Anyone one bea does porous analysis and because of political expediencies people find to take solace there thinking it is favouring them. Elections are over, if you destroy Ghana and even you come to rule where are you going to start from.
