7 Entrepreneurs Advance to Final Round

Seven Ghanaian entrepreneurial businesses have advanced to the final stage of the Ghana Startup Cup Business Model Competition.
These Ghanaian entrepreneurial businesses were selected from more than thirty business models that were submitted to the Ghana Startup Cup.
The seven businesses that made it to the finals are; Onecedi.com, Guardian Angels and Genesis Financial Services. The rest are; Visser Farms, Mansuki Ghana Ltd, Mobilicious and Braveheart Expeditions. However, more about these businesses and what they do is extensively described on the the StartUp website which is; ghana.startupcup.com
These seven businesses are the first to register their names to the very maiden edition of the Ghana Startup Cup Business Model Competition.
They are expected to present a two-minute pitch on November 9, 2013 to the panel of local Startup Cup judges.
Mr. Emmanuel Nyame who is the brain behind the Ghana Startup Cup said, before the final presentation on November 9, the seven finalists will receive specialized coaching in two main areas.
These areas are business model and pitching techniques. He said this coaching will connect them to resources and expertise to help polish their business model and pitching skills for the final round of judging.

One of the judges on the panel who interviewed the participants, Maadam Marina Langereis, said, all of the entrepreneurs in the First Round of Presentation inspired them with their passion for their business, and their interest and responsiveness to the judging panel.

She said Even though only 7 could advance to the Finals, all the participants will in no doubt make valuable contributions to our community.
Mr. Emmanuel Nyame said the top Ghana StartUp Cup Business Model Competition winners will receive a cheque from Liberty Capital Holdings Ghana Ltd as cash prize, among other business advisory support services from the Ghana Angel Investor Network (GAIN) and other key partners to the Ghana StartUp Cup process.
He said the top three winners will be announced during the Ghana StartUp Cup Business Model Competition celebration that will be held during Global Entrepreneurship Week on the 21st of November 2013.
