  There is nothing wrong with giving awards for good driving, however there must be a system in place to caution and punish recklessness.

  THEY DO NOT TAKE ANY WRITEN TESTS NEITHER. THEY LEARN HOW TO DRIVE THROUGH FRIENDS, AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW THEY HIT THE ROAD WITH INNOCENT PEOPLE AND GET KILLED BECAUSE OF THEIR IMATURE DRIVING. THAT NEEDS TO STOP. THE M.T.U. NEED TO STOP THE BRIBES AND THINK ABOUT THE PASSENGERS THAT ARE GOING TO GET KILLED BECAUSE OF THEIR BRIBERY.

  Solution is to realign the highways into parallel dual carriageways, reinforce highway police patrol to check speeding above stipulated laws and drunk driving. These protocols would not totally eliminate the carnage on our roads altogether but will go a long way to reduce the bane of reckless driving in the country. Government must see to give priority attention to the road networks and stop the thievery and the nkomfem and non existent afforestation nonsense.
