First thing, what is this referral to Nana Oye as the President's "lawyer's wife" about? Because calling her by her name/ position/ pronoun is not enough? Does this suggest some form of nepotism or alleged bias? Ghanaians, we need to stop it! I'm much younger than everyone here and even I am able to see that there's something VERY wrong here. The major problem is with these lowly educated, non-degree holding people we have as journalists. There are so many things that do not add up in this article. Did Nana Oye simply land and phone Social Welfare? Are there any instances of how her leadership has been "abrasive"? You journalists must know that diction carries so much power, so WHY is Ms. Appoh being painted as a lamb and Mrs. Lithur a preying lion? Why is this article not wholistic and objective?

The next thing... These chiefs. Chiefs are meant to be wise people. My own grandfather was a chief, so I've been greatly exposed to the sagacity that comes with that title "Chief". How on earth! does one hear one side of a story and call a press conference on it? Ghana, there's a problem!
Talking about "she threatened to jail their daughter," when this very same "daughter" contradicts this claim. Discrepancies and dysfunction! That statement is just so unwise and flimsy!

Ms. Appoh, whoever you may be... I will say it plainly: You speak untruths, and it's not fair. Why would you claim to be doing your "assignment" when you acted on impulse and got orders from nowhere in particular? Now there's a missing child with rights who should be in Social Welfare but is with a couple of women who YOU YOURSELF cannot locate. This just shows you are in the wrong ministry! Did you care about the rights of that child at all? Did you think about the possible trajectory? Where the child would school, what it would eat, how it would survive? Please. Your problem is that you think you should be Nana Oye's superior, when really, she is exponentially more of a professional than you are, technically speaking! Be comfortable and grateful in and for your role as Deputy, or quit!

Now, to the commentaries this article has received, shame on some of you. A big big big shame on you! Some of you have displayed your lack of respect for others and yourselves and a serious lack of decorum . It is high time we all realize that if our words do not help a situation, we must restrain them! These meaningless insults of "bitch" and "fat ass bitch", what exactly do you think they will do to this extraordinary woman of strong character? You belittle yourself by using those words, if you're unaware, and only make her stronger. The "fat bitch" remains your minister who actually cares about her job and isn't absolutely engulfed in this tempestuous rage of political wrong.

In conclusion, Ghanaians, be discerning: wise up!

If anything at all it is the Deputy who is at fault for speaking to the press about her boss in this alleged manner and must be sanctioned for misconduct. Besides, she and the Social Welfare Director were at fault for the illegal action they took.

The Osu Children's Home must also be queried.

Is he campaigning for the NDC? Couldn't he be more an Omanhene than to say all those things, after all, there a lot of his people who did not vote for the NDC. These our chiefs should be more sensible and behave as such. Rooting for a political party is not one of the functions of a sensible chief.

A chief must learn to talk, persuade, organise and initiate inclusion of every inhabitant in his town and villages.
