The curious fact is that whenever officials from both the main political stand to gain, they come together. A case in point is the increment of salaries of MPs by over 70% Another case is when Hon. Ambrose Dery came to Upper West to bury his Father. MPs of the two main Political Parties took a plane to Wa. In the meantime they got their drivers to drive the fuel guzzling land cruisers to Wa, to bring them to Hamile for the Funeral and bring them back to Wa to take the plane while these fuel-guzzling land cruisers went back to Accra. Not even in the rich countries do we see this baboonery. I believe Ghanaians should sit up to correct this nonsense. We elect the Politicians to Office and we must not allow them to Lord it over us.

Any wonder why a country of less than 25 million, endowed with human and all kinds of resources, and everything was and is being mismanaged with no end in sight?
It is because we have too many pseudo intellectuals and technocrats who cannot appreciate anything good for our country.
The confusion of contributors on the Ghanaweb and their uninformed stance is a significant reflection of events back home. Why, are we cursed to be what we are?

One must always fear politicians that do not drive up iliteracy and does nothing to decrease it. such government have a hiden agenda which is to fool people and make them easy to buy come election time. Only a fool will believe a bag of rice will last them 4 years. Look in every country world wide goverment steals. I from the Uk and even here they even steal money for dog food by claiming it on their expenses and things like porno movies. Check it out on BBC if you think am lying.
So for ghanains to become so incensed because our government are corrupt makes us big fools. All they are doing is occupping our mind with what we know in order to deflect us from what we should know. Look we should never has a problem with government chopping public funds, why cos we can bot stop it and it will never stop so why waste time and energy then lose track of what we need to know.

Its not about how corrupt government can be but WHAT THEY ARE DOING FOR THE COUNTRY WHILST CHOPPING THE MONEY. IS THE GOVERNMENT WHO CHOP AND HELP GHANA DEVELOP THAT WE NEED. NOT THE ONES THAT COMES CREAT FUKALL AND THEN TURN OUR ATTENTION TO CORRUPTION TO DEFELCT US FROM WHAT WE BE LOOKING At. How many of you can concerntrate on two things at the same time. A muscian calls something an illussion, the act of making you think something but it is something else. Government puts your attention on corruption beacuse as long as you put ur mind and energy on it you have no time to look at the important things.

Since Rawlings time every government has come in power, creaed a task force just to investigate the corruption of the other party. they spend 4 years occupy your mind and no one is really penalised. We are then mind occupied for 4 years. QUESTION ASK YOURSELF HOW MANY ELECTIONS HAVE YOU VOTED SIMPLY BECAUSE THE PARTY IN GOVERNMENT CHOPPED THE MONEY. DID YOU EVEN LOOK AT THE OTHER THINGS. Take Kuffour government, under him business was booming, high amount of people from abroad return to ghana and this created so much jobs in the building industrial and goods sector. they brought in innovation that they learned abroad and although kuffoure government did not create the jobs, they created an evirnonment with easy method to set up buisness and good tax rate for new business therefore creating a country where private sector can grow and boy did it grow. Our currency rate at the time is an expemtary indication of that. Also in Rawlings adminstration policing was way tougher and also he created a change of culture where if a man dies his children are not let with nonething. in fact he created an evironment where by tradition did not shit on a mans legacy period. So all am saying is if government come into power and create task force to deal with previous government corruption or they are doing is pre-occupying our minds because we been such a gossiping bunch we are easily swayed and by spending time looking at what will come out of the corruption investigations which altimately leads to nothing, we lose track of what we should be questioning. all they have done is bambozzled us. As i stated no one can concentrate on two things. Whilst the drama unfold to nothing, how many of you are forcing the real issues. Have you notice that everytime we start to look at the real issues, the corruption saga unfolds. Your mind is been imprisoned with this re-ocuppation of gossip to shade you from real matters effecting ghana. At this time how many of you ARE MORE INTRIGUE TO KNOW THE OUTCOMES OF THE CORRUPTION SAGA THEN THE REAL PROBLEMS. hIGH EDUCATION FEE, HIGH PETROL HIGH GAS, HIGH ELECTRICITY, BIGGER AND BIGGER UNEMPLOYMENT, RISE IN BASIC COMMODETIES, NOT ENOUGH AFFORDABLE HOMES, NO JOB CREATING AND IN FACT SMALL SHOPS CLOSURES, MASSIVE REPAYMENT RATES ON LOANS AND UNPAID PUBLIC SECTOR PAYS EFECTING PUBLIC SECTOR SERVICES PROVIDE TO YOU ALL. how many of you i ask are pre-occupied with corruption stories. With Mahama's investigation of Judgement debts payments from 1992 to date often demanded by Rawlings, look at what is coming out? it is a big Opportunity for the NDC and Mahama in particular to retrieve all these loots and put in development path for his second time. It will also be a curse if he fail to retrieve them and someone else investigate him and take the opportunity in the future. Ghana is never going be the same, since people are confessing this manner!

If you love Ghana above political party you may take time to understand that the stealing that has gone on between these two parties benefits not the nation but the individuals in government who engaged in these acts of in-your-face thievery. Kufour has done more harm to Ghana than any other person because up until Atta Mills and now John Mahama, he Kufour was one who claimed along with Akufo-Addo to have obtained law degrees from Oxford University. Using their acquired knowledge to implementing stealing and corruption with an elaborate cover-up plans including hauling away government documents so their deeds cannot be traced help not you , me or anyone outside their families.
It's about time you stopped being a parrot and start evaluating, assessing and analyze issues on their merits and not repeat what political party zealots do reading from party play book.

The truth about Kufuor's claim of having earned a law degree from Oxford is that it's a big lie. When Kufuor assumed the presidency early in 2001, the NDC opposition wrote to Oxford to enquire about the truthfulness of Kufuor's claim. And the response they received from Oxford was that Kufuor did graduate from that University, having studied History, Economics and History. They denied categorically, however, that he studied Law at Oxford. If Kufuor indeed studied law, Oxford University made it clear that he didn't do so at Oxford. This is the gospel truth.

We Ghanaians are fools to have elected someone who can deceive us that way and get away with it. It's the same episode with the Akufo- Addo's claim of being a lawyer. Just see how the NPP vehemently jumped to Akufo-Addo's defence and the way and manner in which the court also treated Justice Kpega's case. They're not interested in the truth being unfolded. Did Justice Kpega not tell us that the Chief Justice Theodora Wood instructed the judge to dismiss his case against Akufo Addo? And of course she herself was promoted, over and above all her seniors, to the position of Chief Justice by Kufuor because she curroptly handled the cocaine missing saga on a boat that was arrested off the Ghanaian coast as well as the cocaine bags that disappeared from the Ghana Police Headquarters. In this way, she saved Kufuor and her NPP party from a big embarrassment because she apparently was aware that it was the Kufuor and his administration that was involved in the drug deals. Don't we all know about the Amoateng case? Was he not said to be the financier of the NPP party with his cocaine money?

Ghana as a nation is in a serious crisis. The politicians (of all the parties) are just a reflection of the educated citizenry in terms of corruption. I'm afraid, we're doomed for ever if nothing happens to ameloriate our sorry situation.

What this obstreperous and cantankerous gossiper fail to tell us in this unconvincing and self contradictory write up is how and when Akufo Addo's office was able to reach a 12 million settlement. The 9th and 10 th paragraph has exposed mischieve behind this publication by the ant-sized brain Bature and his myopic disciples. The question is, did Akufo took over after SG had lodged complain in the UK court or before? The contradiction in here is that, per this report, the case was wisked away from Akufo to the UK court by KT Hammond when at the same time, SG was under pressure to settle on the 12-million for fear of loosing the case for the third time in a court in UK, haven lost twice in American court. . So which is which? Is this not attempt to divert attention from corruption mess the NDC find itself in now? Well, time will tell.

Yes, this is the way they, NPP try to put things under carpet, by loud noises to distract the attention of Ghanaians and as usual blame it on someone else with lies and fabricated stories by using their media houses, serial callers, fake and unintelligent journalist and the sycophants and the political infantile to spin and step up their propaganda in order to pull the wool over the citizens eyes.
Now I can see all this noises accusing the NDC government about judgement debts. I would have thought that NPP, which make noises about the interest of the Ghana being number 1, would have rather adopt legal means i.e the courts and assist the government as a credible opposition party in recovering our debts instead of the irresponsible, irrelevant and the senseless noises in particular, the 'Woryome' where it has now transpired clearly that some big, big members of the NPP & NDC benefited lucratively in the Woryomeh case.

Indeed, Ghana’s Drill Ship, Discoverer 511 sale deal sounds precisely like 'a reenactment of the Vodafone sale deal under the Kufuor' administration. Former President Kufuor, we're told, travellled to London, met with Vodafone executives, a President with no telecommunications experience whatsoever, and singlehandely sold Ghana Telecom to them for a pittance of $90 million. Kufuor himself admitted selling Ghana Telecom to Vodafone and praised himself for having done so. This, in spite of the fact that a company in South Africa had allegedly offered to purchase same for $230 million. In other words, Kufuor rejected the latter offer because he allegedly took into his own personal pocket a $30 million bribe from Vodafone, an amount he wouldn't have received if he had accepted the South African offer, even though the country Ghana would have been better off.

This seems to be the trade mark of our politicians, especially those of the NPP, whose mantra is "Property Owning Democracy". How many more corrupt deals they engaged in that we don't know yet and we may never know? One thing is certain for sure, however: God knows all and He may expose them one by one at His own good time.
