HE DID SO THROUGH A PANOPLY OF REPRESSIVE TACTICS (ARRESTS, INCARCERATIONS, KILLINGS, AND EXILING OF POLITICAL OPPONENTS). I SHOULD KNOW, BECAUSE I WAS HELPED HIM AS A PROPAGANDIST, AND BECAUSE I WROTE AN MA DISSERTATION ON THIS MEDIA PHENOMENA IN THE LATE 1980. HE STATES:

HE IS NON ADJUDGED ONE OF THE TEN RICHEST MEN IN GHANA - NOT BAD FOR A MERE COUP-MAKING FLIGHT LIEUTENANT IN THE EARLY 1980S EH?

Rawlings shouldn't forget that he did more heinous crimes in his reign, arresting innocent Ghanaians in the night and killing citizens, some of whom cannot be found up to this day. For him to be accusing the US or others is proper hypocrisy!

Many people or the world knows Rawlings' past as military leader; he shouldn't be too excited when he called to address international audiences in this way. Rawlings must be careful; he must watch out!

What respect for human rights did this egomaniac exhibit when he was in charge of Ghana? I wish those who bestow prizes on this mad man and provide a forum for his silly rantings will talk to the sons and daughters of the victims of his outrageous deeds when he was leader of Ghana. This mad man is no Kwame Nkrumah or Nelson Mandela, and it is an insult to the continent when he is put on a pedestal and offered to the world as an African leader.
