A hallmark of any incompetency is an excuse, which by the way is a trademark for Mahama’s Administration an extension Mill’s inability to perform until his untimely death. Doctors were blackmailed, brutally and ruthlessly sacked from the GHS on suspicion that they were reporting heinous crimes and corrupt activities at Effia Nkwanta hospital. The duo who were being haunted by the medical director for years were finally accused of mental illness practically sacked without salary, will not have their case heard in court or advocacy of any form because of media black out for a year now, orchestrated by powerful unseen hands behind the scenes to cover the rot.A committee accordingly set up by the president to look into the case at effia nkwanta came to nut.It is not about NDC or NPP.It is about some silly, greedy individuals who gang up to milk the nation dry taking advantage of loopholes in weak public institutions. The problem in effia nkwanta involving the doctors has been there for years and indeed featured in the media several times because of differences with the medical director who reportedly said he was going to do everything possible to expel the doctors because of their refusal to go on transfer.A new Director General comes in from the Ministry of Health and in less than a month the doctors are practically sacked on dubious and criminal grounds.Since when did the Director General realized the need for a mental assessment in these doctors who have been working for years without problems and currently in private practice? If a group of doctors are quarreling is it prudent for the DG and his board to selectively victimized others just because they have a problem with a medical director notorious for maltreating subordinates to cover up his own limitations.Which part of the GHS code of conduct/ethics call for the suspension of a medical practitioner without salary against a third of a worker's salary to be paid as stipulated by the National Labour Commission.Indeed the DG defied a letter by the NLC (with the powers of a high court) summoning the Medical Director of effia nkwanta hospital for an explanation to effect his action. Is there any law in Ghana that debars somebody from working on grounds of mental ill health especially if it does not interfere with his performance? Why was the DG deliberately avoiding the duo who try reaching him?Was it a case of bias with a sinister motive? Why did the DG(GHS) sign a letter describing the doctors as having possible delusional disorder, instituted compulsory treatment, then enforce indefinite suspension on grounds of refusal by the doctors to meet a medical board, genuinely concerned about being victimized from all indications.Where there comes the relevance of the Mental Health Act the chief psychiatrist Akwasi Osei fought to implement. One of his arguments was to protect the mentally debilitated from abuse and rights violation.Indeed the Mental Health Act should have come in handy particularly in the case of fellow professional colleagues. Why was it used against them?Indeed if someone has a mental problem indefinitely suspending the person and illegally cutting off his salary should obviously be the least a chief psychiatrist should support knowing it will only do more harm than good. There must definitely be something fishy about the indefinite suspension of these doctors and vividly portray the extend to which people go to cover up corruption and crime unfortunately by the very people tasked to supervise these.Organized crimes and institutionalized corruption in Ghana largely has to do with leadership failure.People fight for top positions in this country to milk the nation with the exception of some very few and direct victimization of this sort is the consequence if perceived as a threat to the canker. No wonder the high attrition rate of particularly young doctors from the GHS. Effia Nkwanta hospital in particular have on numerous occasions handed some bad media coverage. The wise thing was for the DG to conduct investigations regarding the activities of management instead of suspending doctors perceived as a threat to the medical director if things were to be done properly.Damn the truth and make money at all cost is now the hall mark in Ghana.I am particularly hurt by this ludicrous action of the DG(GHS)because a relative of mine,Patience Sakpetey died in this hospital because of a bribe of 50 Ghana Cedis. This story was published in the Daily Graphic and what discplinery action was taken on the management of the hospital.People often complain about the needless deaths and illegalities on various platforms in the region. What action has the GHS taken? This is just a token in an essential institution like health. The problem of corruption is colossal and wide spread cutting across generations of government. It is not about NDC or NPP.After all we cannot keep check on our politicians if the virus is fast eating up everybody. It is about we as a people, just a little change in attitude and a little sense of patriotism.

Even a child born today knows what ails our nation and why are we pretending as if all is well because we love the status quo. Corruption has eaten into every part of Mother Ghana and trying to clean it means, she should expel all her children and re-admit them with each going through some grueling interview.
It is absolutely correct that we are all in this together but the more educated ones are leading the charge of corruption. They are making corruption legal in the sense that they have set up a system where their corruptible ways is seems as legit while all others should not be allowed to go on.
Who connived with Woyome, Isofoton etc to dupe the nation and why are they walking free? We can set up reporting centers or whatever but as long as it Ghanaians who will man these centers, nothing will work because we are not prepared to part ways with corruption.
How many of our politicians have ever declared their assets upon assuming office? Asset declaration is just a campaign slogan because they know pretty well that due to stealing, they cannot declare what they have before and after being elected into office.

This is the result when public officials first decide to abuse their positions for money. Old men are expected to uphold moral virtues and leave a value of decency for the young and generations yet unborn for a greater tomorrow. But money loving old men (money swine as they are sometimes called) indulge in corruption and transmit evil in society through their actions or inactions the utter progress of society is set aback. Posterity shall judge Afari Djan and his likes in Ghana.

If even these words are deleted from the English language, the act: BRIBERY & CORRUPTION will ever still remain the same on our soils, soceity & households worldwide!!!

But Ghanaians have themselves to blame. if you vote according to tribal lines then you are in effect telling the one you voted for to do whatever they like regardless and that is exactly these NDC folks are doing stealing every drop of penny in the knowledge that the tribal voter would vote for them come election tomorrow.
which brings the question as to how weak the opposition is. the NPP seems to be engaging in a stupid game that suits the NDC. Accusations and counter-accusations game is what is called politics in Ghana. NPP need to educate the electrates as to the realities of life and what quality of life is all about make the realize the that their lives are being wasted away by NDC machinations rendering them locked in eternal poverty.
NDC picked up from where the PNDC left off: STEALING AND SERVING WITH LIP SERVICE.

The 70% of government revenue spent to pay salaried government workers is down to corruption especially ghost workers' salaries. If Korle Bu hospital alone had over 400 ghost workers then the need to investigate all government pay rolls to weed out ghost workers and punish severely those behind such economic crimes becomes more urgent. There are so many government officials who are leading lives far above their incomes and nobody questions them to explain the sources of their extra incomes.Corruption costs the government not less than 30% of government expenditure on public services. The government must act now to fight corruption in the public sector for it is the 'roadblock' to the nation's development.

The proud husband says, "My dear, we are married now, you can open your robe." The beautiful young woman opens her robe, and he is astonished."Oh, oh, aaaahhh," he exclaims, "My God you are so beautiful, let me take your picture. Puzzled she asks, "My picture?" He answers, "Yes my dear, so I can carry your beauty next to my heart forever". She smiles and he takes her picture, and then he heads into the bathroom to shower. He comes out wearing his robe and the new wife asks, "Why do you wear a robe? We are married now." At that the man opens his robe and she exclaims, "oh, OH, OH MY, let me get a picture". He beams and asks why and she answers, "So I can get it enlarged!"

Are we learning anything from the past?Corruption has been part of the Ghanaian lifestyle for a long time and we seem not to figure out how to stomp it from our society, guys, after the massive house cleaning exercise in 1979, it may have curbed down a bit,in the name of democracy, people have used book-sense to rob our country, until the Ghanaian changes his mentality, this menace is going to hunt us as a nation,a leader who will take high interest in the affairs of every aspect of our institutions, and demand accountability, punish culprits without fear nor favor will slow this 'animal' down, as at now everyone feels they can get away with anything so why not, people in low/lesser offices see the once in higher offices amassing wealth or getting rich very quickly and don't see the results of the work there supposed to have down,so they also do the same at the least opportunity,HIS MAHAMASHIP 4 8, I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO HAVE AN EAGLES EYE OVER THE AFFAIRS OF THE LAND,DEMAND PROBITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM EVERY ASPECT OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE COUNTRY,AGAIN PUNISH CULPRITS WITHOUT FEAR NOR FAVOR AND LETS SEE THE OUTCOME, YOU CAN DO THIS SIR, YES YOU CAN. wmufasa@gmail.com

Corruption is increasingly hurting the economy and the catch here is increasingly, because, it has the official seal and approval of the seat of gov't, the Flagstaff house. Most of the corrupt, highly inimical, criminal, nation wrecking, stinking, putrid rot, emanates absolutely from the very seat of gov't, which the official seal and approval of the Mahama/Amissah Arthur administration. With such an officially sanctioned gov't policy operating alongside development efforts, it is apparent to even all and sundry that, absolutely nothing good would happen to the socio-economic wellbeing of the masses. The only remedy is to boot such a reckless, thieving, corrupt, inept and incompetent, non-thinking, non-achieving bunch of nation-wreckers out off gov't, when the opportunity presents itself again via the ballot box. That is the only way, the increasingly high levels of officially sanctioned stinking, rotten, putrid, corrupt activities and actions brokered and rolled out from the seat of gov't, the Flagstaff house can be prevented and absolutely stopped. Failure to boot out, this NDC gov't of Mahama/Amissah Arthur team out of office in 2016, the corruption which is increasing exponentially at the detriment of the socio-economic growth and development of the masses, would continue unabated and the country, which has collapsed, would have no way whatsoever, from bouncing back, and that is the hard core fact, take it or leave it.
