...The Government exercised the latter option when we disagreed over the judgment debt and other Gargantuan crimes. The Government, and my colleague Ministers at the time know that there was no provision for dismissal under my contract of employment as a Minister or that of any Minster.

I reserve the right as a citizen of Ghana to protect and defend my honour and integrity should this civilized challenge for the truth be ignored.

This is not the price I should be made to pay by the Government of Ghana for defending the Constitution of Ghana in the Waterville and Isofoton unconstitutional payments declared by the Supreme Court.

It is true that the Council of State is unfortunately perceived by members of the opposition and many other citizens, as being an adjunct of the executive. I am happy he used the word " unfortunately" which is indicative of the bad natured ness of the opposition. Indeed during the NPP time, did thy consider the Council of Ste as an adjunct of the Executive? Why is that when the NPP is out of power, they see everything wrong with all stae arrangements? I do not think this is a very healthy attitude to our democracy. They are happy only to the extent that the arrangement or whatever is happening suits them. These cannot be described as good attitude of well mannered democrats. They are the persons who will want to see a puritanistic interpretation of the constitution. The constitution does not talk about any consultation within political parties. Please do not let us allow the NPP to desctroy the honest nest.

Council of State should ignore this letter and if NPP wants they can start any violence in the country. Some of them may be the fist to go. I for one, I have nothing and I don't want any posts. If I die now it might be a timely relief form pain.

"The majority of the Judges in the recent Presidential Election Petition at the Supreme Court found in one area or another, misrepresentations, omissions and malpractices" Jake please know that if all elections the world over including those in Ghana especially in 2000 and 2004, are subjected to the same scrutiny as the 2012 in the SC, the same observations would be made. In short there is nothing like a perfect election. So don't turn your frustration from the court case unto the council of state. Very soon you may be in court challenging them too.

Come on Jake, get some good people in the party to form a committee to bring ideas form the Electoral reform and submit to the Council of State or whatever group assigned to look into it as your contribution/suggestion. This does not need unnecessary loud and unwanted talk or press conference. Unless Jake wanted attention to himself for the coming NPP chairmanship.
