The Good Book has declared that in a dispensation where truth, righteousness and justice are not appreciated, any one who dares to speak and stand by the truth makes himself a prey to corrupt minds that hates the truth. Isaiah 59:14-15 reads:

14. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

You may not have the chance to be a president or a leader in your party, but God bless you for bringing truth closer to some of us who are dying for the truth.

Sadly though we are in the minority compared to those who will see the color red with all the scientific proof and still insist the color is white.Your brand of politics so much tainted with the American ideal of saying it as it is cannot survive in Africa and for that matter Ghana or in your party. The truth is often trump led upon while they deceitfully wander around looking for nothing. And unfortunately we have the uninformed masses following sheepishly. We really need transformational education that will enhance the way we think and act.Keep fighting till your voice is heard.

So long as Akuffo Addo and Co. perpetuate the fiction that they won the elections, it gives them grounds for arguing that they deserve a third bite at the cherry.

When Afari Gyan refused to postpone the announcement of the results as demanded by Jake and co, I knew the NPP was finished. Their hopes had been dashed. They had presumed that constant attacks on MIlls coupled with Woyome, and the short time for campaign by Mahama were all they needed to win. If not, why were they not interested in ensuring that the right thing was done at the polling stations? So far as they were winning nothing else mattered, not even suspected irregularities here and there. By the time they realised, it was too late. Unfortunately Bawumia and Jake put out a theory of victory based on the annulment of 4 million votes, which they knew in their hearts that not even the most die hard ally of theirs among the SC judges was prepared to allow. So it is now time to face reality. The NPP needs to stop denying the hard truth.

The highest court of the land heard the petition and made their ruling. There and then, he remembered his 'roots', returned to this country with only the clothing on his back,and benefited immensely from the generosity and hospitality of our fmr President,JJ Rawlings. Free plush state bungalow accomodation together with wharever else went along with it. As a leading member of the new NPP administration, he became a prominent personality in the Kuffour govt, where he continued to enjoy all the perks of being in power - Who says there is something wrong with the winner-take-all system of governance we have been practising all along? Even before the govt`s 2nd tem was up,this gentleman lobbed his hat into the intra-party presidential contest promising to turn our nation into a paradise on earth,even when he woefully failed to "beautify and mordernize" the capital city of Accra and its surrounding areas. When his presidential ambitions came tumbling down in 2007,guess what,he refused to vacate the choice real estate he had been allocated by vitue of this position in govt. The coup de grace cme when he surreptitiously 'bought' the property for pittance.
When the new NDC govt strenoulsly kicked against the 'sale' of this state asset,Jake launched a proptracted legal battle to hang unto his prized acquistion.
And even though he was part and parcel of the turfd out administration,Jake manoeuvered the then leadership of the NPP,blaming it for their poor showing at the polls in 2008. He claimed the 'gold' trophy by becoming the chairman of the party.
But did his team fare any better in the December 2012 elections? Though we all know the answer to this rhetorical question, Jake,the 'snake' nontheless feels it is proper for him and his cabal to cling onto power. Using his emormous pull within the party, he has attempted to turn the party`s rules and regulations upside down by advocating the early selection of a flagbearer hoping to hang onto the coat-tails of Nana Akuffo Addo,the obvious front-runner,and thus retain his chairmanship position in the party.
So we can clearly chronicle the fact that Jake "is more interested in looking out for himself". What a character!

The Ghanaian voters, all politicians and our elites must realize that political positions and the resulting power it engenders rests on principles, policies, programmes, and planing, and not on pink sheets.
