I was shocked by what was reported to have been said by the General . I hope he is not sleeping on his job as the National Security advisor and knows first-hand how workers have worked for months without pay. How would he have these sacrifice further? The long wait for their salaries they have endured till now is likened to having lent the Government money, even if they get paid all the arrears. That is a firm of sacrifice to the nation. The sad thing about that is that the sacrifice was imposed upon on them.

Now, these workers need to feed their families and themselves to continue living. It is that simple. If the General wants to see more sacrifice from the workers, he must help see them paid promptly.

How have those that have been milking the State to the tune of billions of Dollars sacrificed for the Country? And why has the General not seen those kleptocrats as a real threat to our Nation's security that must be swiftly dealt with appropriately, and instead is demanding further sacrifice from these hard working workers who have been denied payment for services rendered?

The level of crass governance which the NDC administration of the Mahama-Amissah Arthur team have exhibited and continue to exhibit, is extremely amazing.
It's not any wonder that, the country is experiencing such retrogression. The sheer magnitude of incompetence, ineptitude, lack of foresight, the lack of vision, the mental sharpness and acuity, and the intelligence, to drive the fortunes of the country upwards of north, is very much absent, if not completely non-existent. This Mahama-Amissah Arthur team is by far the worst after the Mills-Mahama team, ever in the history of the annals of governance in this country. The General was talking about sacrificing, does he even understand the word, and does the NDC party of which he's an integral part understand that heavily loaded word sacrifice?
It is clear that, this clueless gov't have completely lost their ability to do anything and achieve anything, which was non-existent in the first place, and as the kitchen is becoming too hot for them to handle, Ghanaians should be taking note and thinking seriously of a gov't team that can get the job done, and not empty and meaningless slogans by a bunch of thieving politicians and Generals, who turn around to insult them, about not sacrificing for the growth of the country.

Most often people confuse politics with national issues....!!! If Ghana dies there will be no politics...period!!! Please Mahama, if you can't control things HAND OVER TO THE MILITARY!!! IT IS AT THESE RELATED BACKDROPS THAT I PERSONALLY SEEM TO HOLD A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE VIEW POINTS CONCERNING THE UTILITY SERVICES TARIFFS INCREASED SINCE THE TIMING OF THE INCREASED IS/WAS NOT PLAUSIBLE BECAUSE THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA AND GHANA GOVERNMENT HAVE JUST SURVIVED THE SUPREME COURT CHALLENGE OF THE 2012 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS PETITION CHALLENGE WHICH LASTED FOR ALMOST EIGHT (8) MONTHS AND THAT THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS REASONABLE TIME TO GET FIRMLY ESTABLISHED BEFORE SOME MAJOR POLICY DECISIONS THAT MAY HAVE OTHER RELATED CONCERNS IMPLICATIONS, THERETO.
THAT IT IS A TRITE KNOWLEDGE THAT INCREASES IN PETROLEUM PRODUCTS PRICES WITHOUT ITS RELATED CORRESPONDENT INCREASE PRICE OF INCOMES MOST AT TIMES CAUSED AGITATIONS AND THEREFORE THE RECENT INCREASED IN UTILITY TARIFFS IS OR ARE NO EXCEPTIONS, THERETO.
IT IS THEREFORE MY RESPECTFUL AND CANDID SUBMISSION THAT H.E.PRESIDENT OF GHANA JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA TO CONSIDER IN THE BEST NATIONAL INTEREST IN THE INTERIM AND ALSO IN THE BEST INTERNATIONAL BEST INTEREST TO CONSIDER TO TEMPORARY STOP THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE UTILITY TARIFFS INCREASED AND TO PUT IN PLACE THE FOLLOWING COMMITTEES TO EXPLORE THE BEST SCENARIO INCREASE OF THE UTILITY TARIFFS THAT WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE TO ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS AS FOLLOWS:
(i) A TRIPARTITE COMMITTEE TO BE COMPRISED OF THE UTILITY COMPANIES, GOVERNMENT AND REPRESENTATIVES OF THE TUC TO DELIBERATE OVER THE TARIFFS INCREASE ISSUE.
(ii) TO EXPLORE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY RELATED ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE DISPENSATION OF SMART DIPLOMACY.
(iii) TO CONSIDER TO BRING TO GOVERNMENT THOSE WHO REALLY HAVE THE EXPERTISE AND THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS CONNECTIONS THAT CAN BE USED TO CONNECT GHANA TO ENABLE GHANA TO BENEFIT TREMENDOUSLY FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY IN THE AREAS WHERE GHANA HAS LESS COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE EDGE.
(iv) THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR GHANA TO PURPORT TO PURSUE A POLICY OF "INWARD LOOKING" BUT TO PURSUE A POLICY OF "OUTWARD LOOKING" AND ALSO THE WAY TO LOOK FORWARD BUT NOT BACKWARD SINCE "FORWARD EVER AND BACKWARD NEVER"..
