Govt is No.1 in energy wastage in Ghana, take the Ghana Police service for example, does the police need 5L or 5.7L vehicles to execute their duties? the govt purchase vehicles that extremely and unnecessarily waste fuel at the expense of the tax payer. even the United Stated of America Police dept. uses sedan vehicles that consumes less than 2L to perform their mandate saving millions of dollars. bcos our selfish and self centered politicians dont purchase vehicles and buy fuel+maintainance with their own money they choose v8 cars that consumes 5L of fuel, after all the state buys the fuel. lets talk about electricity, who say they pay ECG out their pockets? thats the real reason why they should waste energy.

The primary duty of every energy commission is to see to it that the nation have affordable, sufficient, reserve and applicable energy base all the time. Whether people waste energy or not is irrelevant because the existing energy regime has an in-built compulsion to make people pay or they'd get cut off. Why do we like adding color to old things which is not a problem and ignoring the real problem which is the lack of cheap affordable energy base for industries and consumers to use to build this country?
