The young boy who played the right back against Egypt and who caused the penalty seems too inexperience, but I'm sure would have learnt a lot from that penalty. You can't give such easy penalties to your opponents, especially at the world cup.

I am an Akan but differ from your old ignorant mindset of ethnocentrinism.Every American by birth can be rule America,every British by birth can rule Britain so goes for every civilized nation so if Ghana is seen as a civilized nation every Ghanaian can rule it does not matter about ethnicity it is about being a Ghanaian and what also matters is being a good leader and not just a follower.From my own perception JJ was just a high school grad and ewe but had some qualities of a leader but falls short in some areas such as being toooo much of an idealist,opiniated and macho-like which does sit well in a democratic system except in military governance where every move is by decry and not by rule of law he also sometimes went extreme but that was back then when the populace were not as educated as today,Kuffuor had steller qualities of a leader and believed in the rule of law,he also gave masses and the press freedom of expression.I remember somebody getting up from the audience to insult his person at one of his public forums in sunyani and the police wanted to arrest him but then president Kuffuor said set him free because afterall he is also a Ghanaian and had the right to speak up and out whatever is in his mind freely but this could not have been accepted during JJ's regime.Now with Mahama he is a good,handsome and nice person just like his father the late E.A Mahama but he really forget being tooooo Mr nice and roll up some leadership qualities and not allow some folks in the NDC to use any old age or seniority to cow him afterall he should know that he is the President for all Ghana and the supreme commander of all the forces.If anything goes wrong they are not going to blame Kuffuor or JJ but only Mahama.He should never forget that some will pretend they want to help but rather they want him to fail,there are others who will also want just to cash in so as a leader he needs to be alert and firm.There is always only one president of Ghana and not two.There is always only one president of America not 2 and there always one PM of Britain not 2 or 3.When your time is past so be it.Nkrumah our first leader was also great and very ambitious with great projects such as Akosombo,Tema motoway etc.but was also more idealist and was bent on making Ghana a one party state did not believe in multi-party system and freedom of expression if bad mouthed him you get locked up in what he called protective detention now Nsawam prison.Just be the judge.Thanks.

If indeed people borrowed from GYEEDA, hopefully the applications/records are there to show. Minimally, they should be made to pay back with interest and whoever changed the rule to allow them to do so be prosecuted. Given what we know now, it is apparent that the people at the office of the presidency which really run the government were the kleptomaniacs. Atta Mills was ill and was 'out of it' to use an American slang. Every known event such as the Woyome scandal flowed from the determination from these functionaries that they would not allow themselves to be poor again since the all experienced destitution when they were swept out of power by Kuffuor. The stealing of Ghana's resources is rampant and 'patapaa'! Just as some of the loot from the Rawlings era ended up in places like South Africa, Cayman Island etc, the same is happening in the current regime. To impress their friends and lovers however, some of the loot is remaining in Ghana. It is up to the opposition parties to do their research now so that the people doing the stealing can be held responsible.

After reading this article I understand why. I am an investor and have considered investing in Ghana. I think now that it's a bad idea and will go for Addis Abeba, Ethiopia instead. Ethiopa is the world's fastest growing inland ecconomy (country without sea port(s). Since 2004 Ethiopia grew 10 % annually. Very, very impressing. Compare that to Ghana, where growth now is negative (rescession).
