Africans have the right to manage or to mismanage their affairs in much the same way that Europe and other countries have a right to manage or to mismanage their affairs as they have been doing. But worse-still, they do not have the right mismanage other peoples affairs for them by sponsoring coups d’état and rebels through weak characters like you Yamba, who is comfortable to be ordered around like a slave, to create havoc and mayhem in other peoples countries.
Bad African leaders are no worse than bad European and American leaders and if there are consequences to be paid for, then they should all suffer those consequences. But what do we see? Only African leaders are made to suffer those consequences to make it seem like Africans are exceptionally backward, stupid and evil people. Do you know the damaging effects of such erroneous impressions on Africa globally?
The difference is that whilst bad African leaders are usually puppets of European and American leaders doing their dirty work for them locally, European and American leaders are the stage-managers of these bad African leaders or the underlying cause of civil and political troubles that make Africans fight amongst themselves and/or prompt some African leaders to take drastic actions to instill sanity .
When the Nkrumah govt took the necessary steps to quell the terrorist activities of western sponsored assassins in the sixties, many western countries who had never introduced democracy and had been using worse tyrannical means to subjugate simple harmless natives in their colonies for over 200 years, pretended that this was unheard of. When the US introduced the hundred times worse draconian measures after the terrorist attack in 9/11, not only to cover America, but spread out to cover the whole world including Ghana, I have since not heard a single whisper of protest against it by people like Yamba and those who still continue to castigate Nkrumah for the establishment of the relatively harmless and mild PDA of the sixties in Ghana.
Has anybody heard of a single word of disapproval or the usual threats of trials at the ICC against the American sponsored Egyptian Army since they illegally took over from the democratically elected govt in Egypt, killing thousands of people in the process, from any of the American or European govts and media?
Not even any of those hypocritical two-faced international human rights NGOs or so-called Civil Society organizations have said a word of reproach against the illegal imprisonment of tens of thousands of Egyptians for rightfully demonstrating against the western military puppets for taking over their govt.
Narrow-minded people like you Yamba, who continuously and shamelessly allow themselves to be used by these Europeans and Americans to give Africa a bad name, should be ashamed of yourselves.
Without any doubt, the ICC has been created to replace the whip that was callously used against rebellious slaves and is just simply another western imperialist organization created to prolong the slavery, the colonization, the domination and the suffering of the people of Africa for the exclusive interests of the advancement of Europe and America.

Desmond Tutu has spoken his mind......
Please allow me to ask him for some answers or if anyone else can give them to me...........
Why are certain African leaders brought to the ICC and others are not?
Is the ICC there for those who have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity? If so, Desmond, for the sake of fairness, why are you not asking the International community to indite Tony Blair and George Bush?
Is the ICC not interested in certain African leaders who have served more than their terms in office? Hence, staying in power by means of rigging elections after elections leading to indirect crimes against humanity? Is it a matter of being friendly with the West?
Desmond Tutu, even though I agree with you to some point, I would appreciate you do not pick and choose what to comment on but, to address the entire world and question them all..........
So that, there will be no excuse for African leaders to feel like they are the only ones in the world who commit crimes against humanity. I agree two wrongs don't make a right but, fairness and justice across board achieves PEACE!

Desmond Tutu is a puppet of the western world and all that it stands for.Through his discredited Truth Reconciliation Committee he denied black Africans in South Africa who suffered persecution and indignities in their own land under the white apartheid regime the justice that they deserved. No wonder the western world has showered him with awards including the Nobel Peace Prize.Recently he sided with the West's attempt to impose homosexual and gay culture by stating emphatically that opposing that culture amounts to being homophobic. What credibility has he got left to lecture African leaders on what to do in relation to the ICC,an organization which has targeted only African leaders and left white leaders guilty of crimes against humanity free.Desmond Tutu will serve the African continent better by telling the ICC to stop being racially bias towards Africans.African leaders guilty of crimes against humanity should not escape punishment and so must white leaders guilty of crimes against humanity.Right now Africans are the easiest target for persecution by the ICC.

I do sing from the same hymn sheet with Rev. Desmond Tutu that backing out of the ICC is a dangerous move for Africa. All well thinking people should realize that those proposing the backing out want to do so to satisfy their own personal aggrandizement not thinking about the common good of the people they govern.Did the whole world not condemn the atrocities and massacre of innocent people that took place in Kenya because the desire of Uhuru Kenya Atta and his cohorts to get power at all cost? It is strange for the African Union to support the selfish and parochial interest of Uhuru which will eventually lead the continent into armagedon. Uhuru was indicted before going to the Polls to contest for the highest position in the land of Kenya. In fact prior to the elections,he was on record to have said he would stand trial even he if become the President. This was in answer to a fellow contestant Rally Oginga,s suggestion that Kenyans should not vote for a man being hunted by the ICC for his involvement in the barbaric murder of political opponents. He has won the highest office of the land and if he has nothing to hide,he must go to the Hague to defend himself. Is he special than all the people who had been tried by the ICC.To argue that no sitting president has ever been tried by the court is a very infantile and bogus argument ever made.Is he and his supporters in the African usurping the powers of the court? What locus standi do they have to order the way the ICC should transact its business?I suggest that Uhuru should be forcibly arrested if he treats his invitation to the Hague with contempt. We should not condone with illegality.Uhuru should remember that the evil that men do live after them.Obviously he can choose to run but he cannot hide!

I agree with the Archbishop. African leaders commit disproportionate violations of the rights of the citizens. Without the ICC to hold them accountable, the citizens are in jeopardy. A case in point is Equatorial Guinea. I propose African leaders should also be indicted for gross mismanagement of the economies of their countries through gross negligence such as massive corruption at the highest levels. After all, when they steal from their countries, they find safe haven in the advanced countries. If they prosecuted for economic offenses, they will stop stealing on massive scales.
