How will you expect these home grown judges to know anything better. If we trust their verdicts we are making a fool out of ourselves.

The man pointed out some flaws in the case, if you can dispute them, let's hear your argument and stop making fool of yourself. I wonder why NDC is packed with people who have disregard for the CONSTITUTION.

Let me remind you that the ONLY way to peace is following the CONSTITUTION to the letter, because that's the ONLY document binding ALL of US. So if Dr. Ampaw has found some flaws and conflicts of interest, just listen to his argument, or dispute them, albeit using the CONSTITUTION.

A reliable sources has been disclosed to several institutions in the world that should Atuguba performed creditably, Judges and some Lawyers in our country would have been selected to represent the United Nations in the Hague for trials going on out there.

But the performances of the nine Judges led by Atuguba has disgraced
this country's judicial system, as
a result of Atuguba's mokery of judgement he delivered.

Atuguba in his judgement thought he was doing his friend Mahama some good,
by accepting such a gargantuan money to influence his own concious and the judges own selfish interest, does not know that he has disgracing the Ghana nation, himself, the judiciary and the faculty of our Legal and academic Society in our country. Ghana under

administration has thrown our nation

He did not say invalidate a patently rigged election where electoral fraud is proven beyond doubt. The Supreme Court in the US did not invalidate the Florida Count in the Bush Gore elections. The Ivory Coast did not overturn the electoral declarations and declare the loser the winner.
The ruling in the Ghana Supreme Court was made in the light of the evidence or in this instance the pausity of the evidence to declare the loser the winner on so called irregularities when no electoral fraud was alleged.

It's sad NPP is not going for a review because the 5 of the 9 judges gave a corruption tainted,reckless,senseless stone age judgement that has potentially set Ghana on the harm's way.Their judgements has no basis in Law and the constituition.We were expecting a flawless and sensible judgement with a road map to guide future elections and make history that we are the only country south of the sahara whose judiciary is truly independent,bold and cannot be intimidated.I hail Nana Addo as being very peaceful and conceded to stop anyone going forward with other plans.
Mahama would remain in the eyes of the international community as a lameduck president as the election petition was carefully followed by all and even a class 2 pupil would know that Mahama victory was rigging.
No wonder the international donors has withheld budget support funds from this most corrupt Gov't ever.
Next election would be keenly contested and any attempt to rig would be meet with severe violence because the courts lacks basic common sense to offer a peaceful solution.That is the danger Atuguba and his corrupt judges has placed Ghana in.They has told Ghanaians that the courts are not effective so that the law into your hands.I pity the fools who hail this judgement as they appear to be educated iliterates.

The role of the judge in electoral petition is to look for the truth and to give effect to the will of the people.Equity as the conscience of the judicial system is required to do complete justice regardless of the technicalities.And this has been the criteria for determining justice in matters that relies on truth.It is not surprising that the Canadian SC used the same criteria and reasoning in a similar case.To quote the relevant paragraph of that judgement.

“The practical realities of election administration are such that
imperfections in the conduct of elections are inevitable. A federal election is only possible with the work of thousands of Canadians who are hired across the country for a period of a few days or, in many cases, a single 14hour day. These workers perform many detailed tasks under difficult conditions. They are required to apply multiple rules in a setting that is unfamiliar Because elections are not everyday occurrences, it is difficult to see how workers could get practical on the job experience. The current system of electoral administration in Canada is not designed to achieve perfection, but to come as close to the ideal of enfranchising all entitled voters as possible Since the system and the Act are not designed for certainty alone, courts cannot demand perfect certainty. Rather, courts must be concerned with the integrity of the electoral system. This overarching concern informs our interpretation of the phrase “irregularities ...that affected the result.” (Rothsterin and Moldaver JJ).

The election petition was not allowed to go its full distance as a result of the failure of the losers to seek judicial review.

The blame must not be on Nana Akufo-Addo who conceded readily EVEN THOUGH he said HE DID NOT AGREE WITH THE DECISION OF THE SUPREME COURT.

In my opinion, the blame must be placed on all those who before the verdict prevailed on Nana Akufo-Addo and Mr Mahama to promise to accept the
decision of the Supreme Court. By extracting UNDERTAKING from the two people [and their parties] NOT to seek judicial review, the people who put pressure on the parties in the petition inadvertently INTERFERED WITH the law and stopped it from taking its full course.

THIS HAS CAUSED A SERIOUS DAMAGE TO LAW AND INTERPRETATION OF LAW.

I’m not a lawyer but I made this statement long before the judgment and DR Ampaw...honorable Doctor supposedly an intellectual could not discern the imports of this long standing tradition among jurisprudence.
