There is the need to make reforms in the EC. The Rulers of a country and therefore ghana must be elected by all ghanaians wherever they may be. Ghanaians in the diaspora must be given the chance to vote as well.more than 2 milion voters are sidelined. so the President who might be elected will not be the president of all Ghanaians but for only those in the country. There must be an amendment for improvement.

This a typical Ghanaian 'finger pointing' mentality. The attitude of blaming others instead of coming up with constructive ways and means in dealing with the identified problems. Non of the parties mentioned so far has come with positive 'way-forward' formula. In 2005 when NDC went to court to compel the EC to publish the poling stations results of the 2004 general elections but the case was thrown out, the NPP were happy with the verdict of the court instead of supporting the NDC's action on political and constitutional principle for national interest. Today Dr Opoku Prempeh is claiming to be significant. Did he miss the chance? No he was only interested in his selfish and egotistical ends. Do these people have th interest of Ghana at heart? The onus is on every Ghanaian to make a contribution towards the changes that would make the EC perform better i.e effectively, efficiently and fairly within the Constitution and the authority that has being bestowed unto the EC. No time to waste in blaming or finger pointing. This is an opportunity for all political parties to wake up to the course of acting in the National interest and advancement. It is a National issue not a political agenda to score points.

There should be laws or the constitution must spell what the government can do and cannot do during elections to prevent cheating and safeguard the national coffers.
