Both the NDC and NPP have in the past benefitted from the porosity of the electoral process. Malpractices occurred in the elections which were won by NPP led by Kufuor, so too, were those won by NDC under Mills/Mahama and, further down, Rawlings. The immediate past NPP petition in the SC is, effectively, calling for the holes to be plucked. And it must be done before the 2016 general election.

Elections are won by counting BALLOT PAPERS with thumb prints at the Polling Stations. Presidents are not elected by mere administrative errors on Pink Sheets by Presiding Officers. Why did the NPP not request the re-counting of the ballot papers?
How many of the NPP Presiding Officers at the 26,002 Polling Stations complained of any irregularities at the Polling Stations during the 2012 elections?
People like you want to the disturb the peace that we are currently enjoying. You have failed! President Mahama won the elections convincingly.

We need more Ghanaians like this man to move things forward. I believe if his suggestions are heeded, it will go a long way to making things much better, and reducing the chances of frivolous petitions and litigation in the future.

Usefull ideas, but can meaningfull ideas stop the naysayers who are determined to confuse the public? The NPP did not have to go to court to trigger electoral reforms.

if there were no wrong doings during the 2012 election why the need for reforms. is there anything again to be reformed? The most important reform is for Afari Gyan to resign and the procedure for choosing the electoral commission changed to Ensure that no party gets to choose its man. By the has the SC acknowledge that they have failed the country Who's constitution they were to interprete? Their interpretation brings more chaos than ever.

Election reforms are useless unless we can find a means to combact GOVT manipulations of EC and it's staff.Any reforms if possible must be brought to the attention of the SC JUDGES for their comments and inputs.

Any reform will have to start from voter registration whereby minors and double registrations have to curtailed or prevented. And this can be done by looking for a software to reconcile pictures and thumprint of potential voters. Thumprint can not be faked and a software that will bring out multi thumprints for the same person need to be considered.
For minors, attestations from their responsible parents can be relied on.Or other means can be used to cut out minor registration can be employed this time.
Any we are fishing out other ideas and hopefully good and workable ideas will come up in the days ahead.
