"Six weeks after schools reopened for the commencement of the 2013/2014 academic year, government has failed to provide the basic materials (chalk, text books ) needed for effective teaching and learning to begin. School Heads have gone to ‘ridiculous’ lengths in addressing the situation in their various schools including borrowing these materials on credit and sometimes using their limited personal resources. The Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa blamed the teachers for reopening schools when they know there are no teaching and learning materials."
The above quote defines what is called 'quality education' in Ghana. Now that quality has been achieved maybe government should consider free SHS!

Ghanaians voted for the party of their choice so allow them to enjoy the outcome , good or bad. If they feel like changing the leaders, 4 years of bitter or better Ghana will determine.

You are a students Union and if you care to know, the history would tell you that NUGs has been playing politics since it's formation. Attafuah-Danso, is it now the first time you have realised the political elements/activities by NUGS? You seem to choose playing politics instead of seriously concentrating on and passing your studies with success. Please note that no game is played one-sided. There is always an opposition or opposing force to a game and that makes it competitive. So you ignorant and political sycophant want to have your cake and eat it? You want to spew rubbish as you like and when you want but you don't want to be told you are wrong, irresponsible and political infantile. No, Attafua-Danso, Ghanaians are not daft the average Ghanaian is more intelligent than you. The only difference is that the poor citizen did not or has not got the opportunities available to you.

The average tax payer contributes towards the facilities for you and your hooligan and imposters' care and services including your safety/security and welfare at your institutions. Don't tell me you pay fees. Whatever, fees you may argue you should know that your contribution is nothing but a token of your real cost of your education. Do you get it? And stop imposing, calling yourselves, 'intellectuals'. You are nothing but STUDENTS!!. It is about time you lot should be told your stupid behaviour is not acceptable and is a negative contribution towards the advancement and progress of the Nation. Listen and listen good to me. NPP, NDC, PPP, CPP or whatever party, organization, agency, association or establishment or an individual(s) has every right to comment on your affairs just as you find it fit to comment on others.

You talk about hardship. What an irresponsible comment!! Could write me an Essay on the Historical and Political Economy of Ghana from 1957 -2012?. If you find the above question too difficult then write on the 'What are the Causes of the Current Down Trends on the World Financial and Economic Activities'
If you were as intelligent as you claimed to be, you would realise that the current economic difficulties have cumulative trends i.e they did not happen overnight but over periods of bad policies, inefficiency and mismanagement by the likes of you who boast of being graduates and assume that you know it all but in reality even the carpenter, the makola woman, the farmer, messenger, fishermen knows better than you so called the educated elite! What you and your so called NPP Youth should rather do is to undergo a proper comprehensive job and inter-personal relations training and a proper education to make competitive in the world market places. No harm in supporting the TUC . It is a good thing if you would be objective, constructive and use your intellectual faculties to the benefits of the nation but not for corruption, violence, lawlessness, fabrications, lies, innuendos and your selfish ends. The challenge to enhance the advancement of Ghana lies on you and I. We have to be real with ourselves by finding out the causes of our problems and then formulate measures appropriate and necessary for managing and solving the problems. Cheap political rhetoric and empty threats, arrogance, Party interest instead of National priority would always make us go faster in the reverse gear of development. Attafuah-Danso, I believe you can liaise with other students all over to learn from the right people around you. Anyway, who is the President of Ghana?. Whether you Attafuah-Danso likes it or not, John DramaniMahama is the President of Ghana and you show some decorum by respecting our president. Let me educate you. This is called ETIQUETE.
