These old men in that TUC have gone stale and must give way to young minds who can see trouble from afar. We have to choose between tariffs and improved service or dumsor. Is this not the same person who was complaining about power cuts. These TUC guys are hopeless.

Just last Friday (after the increment), I got 260 units for GHC80. This constitutes an increment of 85.23% and not 78.9% an claimed by the ECG/RVA and NED. The power authorities are defrauding Ghanaians and they must be investigated.

Political expediency led to the freeze in 2010 on the automatic tariff adjustment formulae that was agreed between utilities, Labor and government. Do the math, considering year on year inflation, changes in cost of production/generation and HR cost the 78% and 59% are inadequate

Haba! The TUC general Secretary should just tell the govt where it should find the money to pay for the utilities. The choice is simple. Either we pay or we do not have it. It cannot be both. We Ghanaians have not done away with our colonial attitudes. Faceless govt must pay for everything. Yes the increase in electricity tariff is relatively high but is far better than using generators and in the alternative darkness. This is where politicians from both sides must help instead of fanning the embers. Ghana is broke. We all know it but we are still demanding free things and high salaries while dodging our taxes all at the same time yet we cry that the govt is borrowing too much. The TUC must rather lead the way in educating its members on the need to pay instead of always calling for useless unproductive strikes. It's a shame still clinging to this colonial method 50+ years after independence.
