But I remember President Kuffuor in his wisdom set up such committee on fact finding mission before the commissioning of our Jubilee fields so why another visit? Useless trip and wastage of tax payers money.

Yes it does seem like an act after the event. This kind of fact finding should be done before oil flows to ensure that good practice is built in to operations right from the start.

I thought a government delegation undertook such a trip a couple of years ago with suggestions that the Norwegian model, which ensures utilisation of the revenue for the benefit of its people, will be a template for Ghana.
