Why even praise that hateful tribalist washout? He wished to bait the Akans into a war so that he and his greedy Ewefuo tribesmen will get the chance to go on thieving and destruction campaign. God na punished him well well. The tribal bigot who provided the hatred ideology and justification for the confiscation and destruction of Akan businesses met a deserving end. Hating an ethnic group and stripping of their earned economic prosperity is not a way of solving a country's problem. That was exactly what Rawlings and some Ewes gangs did to Akans during Ewe revolution in Ghana. Rawlings proclaimed; "Our revolution will spread throughout Africa." Rawlings and his socialist revolutionaries including Kofi Awoonor urged all socialists in Africa to take arms to remove all reactionary governments in Africa. That was the message Rawlings and his socialist-pretense thieves in Ghana sent out .

Some thugs and punks heard and Rawlings was a model for them. Africa saw some thugs who also tok gun to overthrow their governments .Examples are Liberia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Burkina Fasso, Mali, and many others. Rawlings boys were disturbing Togolese government. France had to sent forces to support the then Togolese government.
Al Shaba, Islamic forces prevailed until African force evicted them from Somalia's capital. The ironic thing is that this 'kaboka Rawlings, for cheap popularity is an envoy with regard to Somalia peace. African leaders don't know that Rawlings is part of this disstabilzation in Africa.

Kofi Awoonor death and the eulogy he is getting from the section of Ghana is unfortunate.But Ewes cream of society have brought this upon themselves. Common Ewe like me does not understand all these, but much as Ewes sees all Akans as Asantis so do Akans put the blames of Kofi Awoonor failure on all Ewes. Akans unique behavior is that, we are not favortism, we don't give positions to our own Akans who can not perform. No matter who you are, if you are the fit for a position, Akans will give to you.

During the Simpson and Mazzoli Amnesty Bill that was passed in 1986,many Ghanaian's had no passport or Valid documents to process their Green Card because many entered America with other peoples documents.
Dr Awoonor as head of the Ghana mission in New York and Ofori Tannor did their best to help many Ghanaian's by giving them Travelling Certificates to process their papers.
Most of the people who benefited from his help were many Akans who entered America from Germany and Nigeria.
Its so sad that many people in New York who benefited from his help have forgotten him.
if any Akan think Dr Awoonor offended them,they should come forward.
HE helped many Africans through the Travelling certificates for Amnesty and Refugee status.
