Long before the elections, Afari Gyan's ignorant attitude, his demeanor whenever questioned and his secret flirts with the NDC, ignoring all other parties made him highly suspicious.

He first ignored biometric voting before he found some loopholes for the NDC. Then he rejected verification before he found some loopholes. He then started having secret meetings to teach the NDC about the new system. When the NPP complained, he said they can also do the same with him.

Then he decided to exclude Nana Konadu whom he thought could split NDC votes. He then formed new voting areas where he could see more NDC MPs. And then finally, when he realized that some mistakes from the NPP polling agents have favoured the numbers for the NDC, he decided not to wait to see thorough the examination of the election results before announcing the winner even when all the other parties except the NDC have asked him to so.

Nowhere in the world would such attitude of a EC be tolerated? Afari Gyan is simply a crook aligned with the NDC and all Ghanaians know it.

If Gyan were honorable and patriotic Ghanaian, he would have resigned after the court case without being told to do so. He can no longer be regarded as an honest referee, rightly or wrongly, after all that has happened. He should spare Ghana from hitting the road to Kigali next time when the type of malpractices and irregularities revealed at the Supreme Court take place without Akufo-Addo.

The question is, why is the NDC so adamantly oppose to genuine reforms in the electoral system and EC. This does not make scene because the EC for Ghana and not for NDC; the proposed reforms are for everybody in the country including NDC.

He can resign on health reasons or if he chooses to do so on his own. Dr. Afari-Gyan is going nowhere. Whether the NPP likes it or not he is the EC chairman. Dr. Afari-Gyan is the best EC chairperson Ghana/Africa has ever produced. The EC supervises elections and not any of the parties (CPP, NPP, NDC etc). No party should call the shots. Therefore any reform must be led by the EC. Period!

Kufuor is not the best person to call the sheeps in the NPP to order. Kufuor cannot see eye to eye with Dr. Afari-Gyan. Ask who ordered the search of Dr. Afari-Gyan's office whilst he was away in Sierra Leone on election mission in order to frame him? Who suggested in the immediate aftermath of the 2008 elections that the EC chairperson should be limited to two terms in office? Dr. Afari-Gyan is not in the clique of the corrupt leaders in Ghana which is why he is not liked by his peers. If Ghana had ten Dr. Afari-Gyans we will be better off by now. Typical NPP! The NPP is blaming the referee (Dr. Afari-Gyans) instead of putting the blame on the woeful performance of their team led by “All Die Be Die” Akufo Addo and his ignorant loud mouth adjutant little John.

Isn't it ironic that a man who almost brought Ghana on the brink of war is now being hailed as statesman? What a travesty to the rule of law. This happens only in the religiously intoxicated Ghana. Elections were held in Norway and Australia reccently. The losers accepted defeat with grace. Not in Ghana/Africa. We always feel cheated because most of us are cheaters. We therefore feel or find it uneasy to when non-cheaters like Dr. Afari Gyan are on the scene. Ghana is for Ghanaians and not for a clique of gangsters.

No one complained about Atta Mills' elections where the results were much closer between the candidates. The EC in Norway and Australia don't perform with open bias like Afari Gyan and his crooks.

Look Akufo Addo his room mate at Legon can attest that Kwadwo is neither corrupt nor bias. Kwaddwo is a simple guy and easy to chew. His only problem is that he is too decent and looks very odd in a corrupted Ghana/Africa. Sometimes I ask myself why is Kwadwo swimming against the stream? Ghana is rotten but somebody has to save it. That is an uphill battle and Dr.Afari Gyan is one of the countable honest Ghanaians trying to do just that.

Why should Afari Djan resign? Is it because the goons in your party disagree with him and continuously
abusing him therefore he should resign.
The part of the world you are living haven't you seen people over 70 years old working? 2000 and 2004 when the NDC party disagree with Afari Djan they did not asked him to resign nor did they go on abusing Afari Djan.

That so-called 2 decades experience he has were all not subjected to review and evaluation as it was under the 2012 election microscope. The evidence so far shows that Afari-Gyan is incompetent, not fit for purpose and has caused more chaos that he claimed to have achieved.
The fact is Ghana needs electoral reforms which needs to be supervised or overseen be a NEUTRAL AND OBJECTIVE PERSON.
Afar-Gyan is TOO TAINTED AND INCOMPETENT TO OVERSEE THIS REFORM.

If we allow Dr. Afari Gyan to be pushed out of office, who will be next? Did you hear Bawumiah gloat in Wa that their party won a "moral victory" at the Supreme Court, even as they seek to villify those who gave them that victory? I will urge people to go and read the CSIS country report that came out more than a year ahead of the December 2012 election,to get a proper understanding of what the present-day NPP under Nana Addo is all about.

Was it not his right to challenge the verdict and also honorable to accept defeat? Those who are just partisan should take note that Ghana was on the verge of some stupid clashes that would have resulted into many injuries and deaths. People should be mindful of the fact that the elections were basically on tribal lines and if Akuffo Addo had not gone to court, and also accept the verdict of the court but have encouraged his supporters not to accept the results and verdict, Ghana would have been like Egypt or Syria by now. Is that what Ghana wants? Do we want pockets of political attacks that can destabilize the region. I think Akuffo did the most honorable thing and must be praised.

He allowed people to do as they like and that resulted the mess of 2012. The biometric machines has been a failure on his watch. He proved at the Supreme Court he proved that he does not understand how the Biometric machine works because he was the boss and did not have to check how the machine works. That is a failure on his part.
