A tip for AA,
besides the strategical point of injecting some much needed energy into the team through substitutes in the early, middle, or dying minutes part of second half, AA can also send a
clarion caveat or caution to the whole team by asking the whole subs bench to warm-up.
If there are 5 or 6 subs, let them all warm-up and you will be amazed how the team will take this cracked of a whip and its impact.

Now is NOT the time for our Ghanaian Football JUDGES and DISCIPLINARIANS to say which players are disciplined, patriotic, committed, loving, and those who are NOT. The coach ought to swallow his pride, call Muntari as well as ALL our GOOD ARSENALS for the upcoming task.
And if we do our homework well, Ghana will be in Brazil, officially, come 2014, .

Ghana Black Stars was name in a controversial bribery and corruption at the 2013 AFCON. As if that wasn't bad enough, the last Ghanaians election verdict by the Supreme Court of Ghana, is riddled with the issue of Bribery and Corruption.
Now yo have the effrontery to accuse Nigerians of bribery and corruption at the just concluded drawing of the 2014 World Cup in Egypt? Come on, this is not the era of nepotism of the 60s and 70s where Ghanaians uses the influence and popularity of Osagyefo Kwameh Nkuruma, of the blessed memory to win AFCON trophies. Pretty tough, but at this stage every team you are paired against should be difficult to beat, expected. If the Black star cannot beat Egypt, then we might not be really ready for the challenge at the World Cup in Brazil. If we are ready then any team on our way got to be eliminated. Egypt will be flocked too at the end the day despite their strength and experience in soccer. The Black stars will make it and will be toughen after this opposition. Egypt is a team to beat, with all respect. Now that we know whom we have to deal with, let’s support the Black stars, all hands on deck! No insults and unnecessary criticism to either the technical team and or the players please. A 28-YEAR-OLD Pastor of the International Power Fire Chapel at Darkuman in Accra is in the grips of the law for allegedly kidnapping a 10 -year- old boy.
The suspect, Emmanuel Adjei, was said to have lured the boy from a playground at Darkuman to his house at New Gbawe, a suburb of Accra.
Briefing the Times in Accra yesterday, the Odorkor District Police Commander, Superintendent Ebenezer Kweku Asare, said at about 3 pm on December 27, 2010, the boy went out to a nearby school park at Darkuman Official Town to play but did not return home.
He said Pastor Adjei in the company of another man now at large, lured the boy to Abeka Lapaz in Accra and bought him clothes and a pair of sandals. He also gave him soft drink and a piece of cake after which he took him to his home at New Gbawe. He locked up the boy in his room at about 11 pm and went out.
Superintendent Asare said at 1 pm the boy woke up shouting and banging on the door for help and a tenant in the house went to his rescue by breaking the door.
He slept with one of the tenants until morning when he was accompanied to his house at Darkuman.
He said a complaint was lodged with the Odorkor police, and the pastor was arrested the following day, December 28 when he returned home. He has since been granted police enquiry bail while investigations continue.

- Nigerian Archbishop Ignatius Kattey, the country's second most senior Anglican cleric, has been released by the armed men who kidnapped him last week in the Niger Delta, police said on Sunday.
Kidnapping for ransom is rife in Nigeria, particularly in the oil-producing Delta region, but the abduction of Kattey was a rare case of a religious leader being targeted.
The multi-million dollar criminal enterprise pushes up the insurance and security costs for businesses, including foreign oil majors who have often been targeted in the past.
"The archbishop was released at about 18:30 yesterday behind a filling station at Eleme in Rivers state," police spokesperson Angela Agabe said.
"His captors dropped him when the police were about to close in on them. No ransom was paid."
Victims, their employers and the police rarely admit to paying ransoms because they believe it encourages more kidnappings.
The archbishop's abduction is arguably the most high-profile since the mother of Nigeria's Finance Minister and former World Bank Managing Director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was taken in December last year. She was later released.
The Church of Nigeria, which says it has 18 million baptised members, has the world's second biggest Anglican following after the Church of England.

Pastor Killers Weep In Court
Wednesday, 20 October 2010
Three Ghanaians Kofi Seidu, 32, who was alleged to have murdered his boss, Rev. Sidney Thomas Barnes, a British-American evangelist of Calvary Chapel, USA, has been put before the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) magistrate court alongside two other suspects, Pastor Padmore Goodwill and Issaka Mohammed.
They were charged with two counts of conspiracy and murder.
Their pleas where however not taken as police continue their investigations.
When they appeared in court yesterday, the third accused person, Issaka Mohammed, broke into uncontrollable tears after they were remanded into prison custody.
A few minutes before their departure from the courtroom, he was seen quizzing the first accused and at times talking to himself.
Seidu and Pastor Goodwill were also seen shedding tears.
The prosecutor, DSP Cletus Abadamlora, told the court presided over by Kofi Ahiabor that the deceased was a British-American national who had lived in Ghana since 1997.
He had since established a church called Cross Road Christian Mission Incorporated at Koforidua the Eastern Regional capital, where he lived.
He also had a pawpaw and pineapple farm at Akwamu-Amanfo near Nsawam Adoagyiri where the first accused, Kofi Seidu, was the manager.
The murdered Man of God also owned the Prestige Secretarial and Computer School where the second accused, Pastor Padmore Goodwill, was the principal.
Rev. Sidney Barnes, 75, on December 27, 2009 left for the Americas and was to return to Ghana on March 18, 2010.
Pastor Goodwill, on March 17, gave Seidu money to repair an old Land Rover vehicle with registration number WR418P to pick up the American missionary from the Kotoka International Airport on arrival the following day.
Early the next day, March 18, Seidu went to Pastor Goodwill and took a sum of GH¢50 to fuel the vehicle.
Pastor Goodwill then quizzed Seidu on his early departure to Accra, which Seidu explained that he had to go to a few places before picking up Rev. Barnes at night.
At about 11:30pm, the first accused called the second accused on his mobile phone that Rev. Barnes had not arrived in the country.
On March 19, Seidu was spotted at Nsawam Adoagyiri with the Land Rover.
A witness in the case, according to the prosecution, noticed some injuries on both hands of Seidu and quizzed him on how he got injured.
He then explained that while travelling with a white friend, they (the white man and Seidu) were involved in a motor accident. He claimed that the white friend was on admission at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Koforidua.
Suspect Seidu further contacted another witness in the case for that person to administer a tetanus injection to him (Seidu).
However, because the witness had none, he asked Seidu to buy the medication from somewhere else for him (witness) to administer but Seidu left and never returned.
On that same day, Seidu gave a laptop computer to another witness, who on booting the computer, saw the name of Rev. Barnes boldly inscribed on it and his photo beneath.
The witness also did see a tourist bag in the said Land Rover which Seidu claimed belonged to his white friend.
The disappearance of Rev. Barnes was later reported to the Interpol Unit at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters, Accra.
The first accused was arrested on September 26 by the homicide unit of the CID who later arrested the second and third accused to assist in investigations.
They are being held at the Police Headquarters, Cantonments and Nima Police Stations respectively.
On October 4, Seidu, who had earlier denied any knowledge of Rev. Barnes’s disappearance, confessed to murdering and burying him in a well on his farm.
Seidu, on October 11, led a team of investigators and pathologists from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to exhume the body from a well at the Mana Mission Farm where he was the manager.
On October 13, an autopsy was performed on the body.
The pathologist is yet to submit the report to the CID.
Meanwhile, a police source told DAILY GUIDE that Rev. Barnes, while in America, ordered Seidu via an e-mail message to sell some herd of cattle on his behalf before his return.
The accused, according to the source, has since denied Rev. Barnes had a cattle ranch.
The magistrate adjourned the case to November 2, 2010 and remanded the three into police custody.

2/ We need to trust the captain of the ship{AA} Back off, Nyantakyi
3/ We must do good job to ensure the safety of our citizens going to a country at war, may be the return leg may have to be shifted to a neutral ground.
4/ What ever the strategy AA will choose, I will beg him to focus on the defense, Egypt must not score in the first leg, an away goal can hurt us.
5/ the confidence of the team must be on high, if Algeria eliminated them, Ghana can do the same.

How do you wanna go to Brazil to win the world cup yet you are picking and chosen of the team to play with? If Ghana wants to win the world cup then we must be prepared to beat the best otherwise there is no point of entering the competition at all. What is the big deal about playing Egypt? We must focus and believe that we can beat any team whether the Egyptians, Germans, Brazilians or whoever otherwise we cannot call ourselves a great African team as we seem to believe. Go Black Stars and make a statement!

Egypt will fall in the hands of the Black Stars in both legs. This is a must.
Sorry to say, Senegal wouldn't have the chance to even germinate because the Elephants will stamp on them like never before. Their days are numbered.
Nigeria will dress Ethiopia from head to toe. Watch and see. Nigeria is going through.
Samuel Eto'o is a bit rusty and I'm not certain whether he has announced his return or not and so the Tunisians may have their way in the first leg. However is Eto'o comes back and Cameroon allow the young players to mingle with the experienced ones, the return match will be fire. I still pick Cameroon to go through just for the fact that Tunisia, at the moment, is not that strong to stop Cameroon.
Burkina and Algeria is the toughest of all. For this pair, anyone of the two can make. There is no sure banker in here because Algeria is known when it comes to breaking trends. All the same, I pick Burkina Faso to come up.
This was the reason I wanted Zambia to be included. African continent would have had the best teams to represent it. Oh well, next time.
West African will do good in representing the continent and it will become the first in the history of our continent.

Egypt was wishing to have us just because they have a better record against us. They were avoiding their neighboring country, Algeria, according to the news around. They were rather praying to have either Nigeria, Ivory Coast, or Ghana and their wish has come through. They don't know that it was some of us our wishes too.
I recorded indicating it in one of my comments. I wanted us to avoid Burkina Faso for the fact that their style of play doesn't suit us. They play physically and that drains us stamina wise.
It couldn't have been better than this with the exception of Burkina Faso and Algeria's pair.
This is revenge against revenge. Bob wants a revenge since we beat US in the 2010 WC, at the Sweet sixteen stage. Now is the time to sink Bob Bradley once again. His coaching style hasn't changed from when he was the head of the US national team. When you watch the Egyptians' matches, tactically and technically, nothing has changed.
We may need scouts to spy on them, though, for the last time before the encounter hope he changes nothing.

Rasheed , I think Pow wanted to write since 2006 but mentioned 1996 in error.
Since 2006 Burkina Faso has been a torn in our flesh. 2006 They beat Ghana 1:0 at their home and if i may ask who told you Ghana lost that game because, they (GHANA) paraded weak squad.
Ghana assembled the best that they had that time. Stephen Appiah was the captain. Sammy Kuffuor, Mateo Amoah ,Lawyeah Kingston. 99% of Black stars squad that played at BURKINA which we lost 1:0 played at the return encounter which Ghana won 2:1.
Rasheed, I don’t think you even watched those two encounters in 2006.Ghana beat BURKINA in Ghana because of luck. BURKINA scored the first goal. Their goal keeper was SULEIMA.I hope I spelt the name right. The performance of Suleima that day influenced KOTOKO to sign him. Ghana were awarded strange and dubious penalty within the 85th minutes.
Joetex Frimpong was confronted in the penalty box and it was obvious the Burkinabe defended got the ball as the slow motion even made it very clear.
Stephen Appiah took the penalty and scored by placing the ball at the roof of the net. Ghana scored again through Mathew Amoah on the 90th minutes for the game to end 2:1.
Let us assume that encounter was home and away play off tie, Ghana would have been eliminated because it would have been 2:2 on aggregate .So Burkinabe’s qualifies due to the away goal rule.
I will not write so much about GHANA VRS BURNIKAFASO 2010. Ghana won 1:0 because of lady luck ones again.
BURKINAFO squandered so many scoring chances which were easy to score than to miss.
Rasheed, did you watch GHANA VRS BURNINAFO 2013? Even though the result was 1:1.Do you see that game as a draw? It was very funny as the referee helped Ghana yet Ghana could manage a draw. Burkina scored a clear goal which was disallowed.Their player was sent off under a circumstance which the referee should award them penalty.
Even the Black stars only goal which they were able to score was through a soft penalty.
So Ghana vrs Burkina would have been tougher comparing to Egypt. I am not saying Egypt game gonna be a walk over but the current Burkinabe national team play like they have been dope.
So POW is right .Burkina have been an opponent difficult to beat since 2006 till today and now their national team is stronger than before.

Look, I'm so excited because we can take Egypt and it wouldn't matter the place. I saw their matches during the qualifying series, and I'm convince, we can beat them hands down. have you see Ghana missing WC ticket before since we started going? This alone should tell you that Egypt can't stop us.
This is our time to stop them from going to another WC tournament like Algeria did the last time. Besides, their coach can't be better than ours. Bob Bradley's tactical ability is not as great as you think. His style of formation hasn't changed that much since he left the US National Team.

Godfather, never get scared when it comes to a team that doesn't play rough and also bad. This is what our players are trained for. Haven't you realized that when it comes to teams like Botswana and the rest we struggle to beat them? Egypt plays with the same style as we do. Therefore, it would be a very exciting encounter.
Besides, with the way Bob Bradley coaches, we can't go wrong. Kwasi Appiah would be better off meeting an American coach than to meet an African coach or a European coach. He was at the bench when Milovan Rajevac took care of Bradley and his American team. Therefore, at least, Appiah should know something about this coach and how he operates.
For this encounter, I have confidence we will come out victoriously.

I silently prayed against a tie with Egypt...We have hardly been a match for those guys and with the stakes this high for Brazil 2014, I have very great doubts that the Black starts can triumph over the Pharoes...Judging from our last game with Zambia, though we won it was clear that lady luck was on our side.....how long do we have to rely on lady luck? Ghana has all the "ingredients" (football talents)for a delicious meal (to be a consistent soccer powerhouse), but unfortunately, the "cooks" (Coaches/Technical team/GFA)are not up to their game.....lets pray!!!

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST TWO OR THREE DAYS for game time before getting your training started. And please give MUNTARI a chance; CALL HIM BACK!! WE NEED HIM! If any Ghanaian believe our black star can't win against any of the teams then Ghana have no business at with WC 2014. I am not saying any team is easy all i am saying is, to be a real WC ready side you should be ready to face any side in the world. Egypt will just be one of them and if we are to not that good and manage to make if there we are still going be face with the same situation that is playing other tearms them what , cry about every country we play. So man up be the beast a prove that we are the beast so that when we get there we can truly make ourselves proud. For those who have forgotten already we Ghana and black stars have a good reputation at the WC to hold up to, so if any one feel we are up to the task then I think we should not even go and get knock out the group stage. No matter how hard a side Egypt is we better beat them and get to the WC Ns up hold our honor or thank out star we're paired with Egypt so thAt they can beat us and save us from going to disgrace ourselves at WC 2014. So lets go stars win and get there a be ready to win the WC or don't even get there.

I have no doubt that the format for African World cup was changed to the current format because of West African dominance. I can promise everyone that, the West African dominant is likely to change because of this play-off.
Let us put patriotism aside and face the reality. North Americans are very good when we talk of play off ties. I am not scared because of North Africans performance but very scared because of their antics and tactics which they use in playing a way matches .
Their countries and clubs uses the same method. What they do is to prevent a team beat them when they play away matches and uses every means possible to win their home matches.
Ghana conceded a way goal against Zambia but Ghana couldn't score an away goal when they played against Zambia. If Ghana vrs Zambia were to be a play off tie, Ghana would have been eliminated because of Zambia away goal.
We all know CAF stand when referees are officiating North African games. The BLACK STARS need endurance and play above their normal performance before we can eliminate Egypt.
Ghana need to win more than two goals and concede none at home if only they want to be in the World cup because even if you beat Egypt 3:1 in Ghana, Egypt will surely beat Ghana 2:0 in Cairo.
Also there’s a possibility that Caf would use soccer to unify Egypt. Yes Caf could use mafia tactics in helping Egypt to qualify so as to unify them in their current political situation as Caf used the same method to help SOUTH AFRICA in 1996 African cup of nation by providing referees to frustrate every opponent whom South Africa played against and eventually South Africa won the cup.
This will be very tall mountain for Ghana to climb but I believe if both home and away tie between GHANA VRS EGYPT is officiated fairly Ghana would eliminate Egypt but with the current "mafialism" in Africa soccer it gonna be difficult for Ghana to qualify.
Anyway I am asking this question for an answer. How many teams play a way at Cairo and complete the 90 minutes of the game with eleven men on the field. That’s Egypt for you. When you play against Egypt in crucial game at their back yard you should expect to play with 10 men.

As for Ethiopia, the manner they qualified just like B Faso, shows they are strong. Points were deducted from them by FIFA yet they qualified. Apart from their form, they have advantage of high altitude.
Of course Ghana also did well to dismiss Zambia's free points FIFA dashed them.So which opponent would have been best for us?
If we assemble the best team including Kevin, Dede, Waris, Gyan, Kodwo Asamoah, Badu, Jonathan Mensah, etc and get our focus right, no team can stop us from going to Brazil.
We must bring John Mensah and Vorsah into the team.

To think that one of these countries won't be going to the WC to represent Africa is a shame. I said it before the system is flawed and may yield unintended consequences for CAF. Most soccer analysts are disappointed with the draw and so are millions of fans around the globe. Ghana will surely defeat Egypt to qualify, but Egypt is by far a better team than some of the non- seeded countries. Good luck Ghana.

WE CAN BEAT EGYPT TO GO TO BRAZIL. LET'S REMOVE ALL NEGATIVITY FROM OUR MINDS AND LIPS. THERE'S POWER IN THE TONGUE. YOU GET WHAT YOU CONFESS. LET'S USE OUR TONGUES TO PRONOUNCE POSITIVELY FOR THE BLACK STARS.
I MUST ADMIT, IT'S NOT GOING TO BE EASY FOR US. EGYPT HAS BEEN A SHARP AND NAGGING THORN ON OUR FLESH FOR A LONG TIME; THEY ARE VERY STRONG CONTENDERS. BUT I BELIEVE WITH THE BEST STRATEGY WE CAN PREVAIL OVER THEM AND HEAD FOR BRAZIL. WE CAN BREAK THE MYTH IN JESUS' NAME, AMEN.
LET'S NOT DELUDE OURSELVES THAT APART FROM EGYPT WE CAN EASILY WALK OVER THE OTHER TEAMS TO GO TO BRAZIL. ALGERIA, BURKINA FASO AND ETHIOPIA ARE ALL STRONG CONTENDERS.
I LIKE ASAMOAH GYAN'S SPIRIT WHEN HE SAID "Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is optimistic the Black Stars will edge out Egypt to record their third successive World Cup appearance next year"
I'M VERY POSITIVE. BE POSITIVE!

Ghanaians are so "fair weather". It is suppposed to be tough at this stage. If you are really confident in your team there should not be a problem. Egypt is not a super team. Remember, the lost a two legged fixture to Central African Republic and did not qualify for CAN. Yes the had a clean slate in the WC qualifying so far but let us face it. Their group was pretty weak. Guinea was their toughest competition and they played scared. Why the lack of confidence???

The Ghanaians should firmly stand behind the Black Stars, refrain from the quitter's syndrome, stay focus and we will go through.
