The former CEO of Starbow, Dr. Brock, expressed the same sentiments several times and had to leave Ghana to join a Canadian airline. Maybe, the government should start listening. The issue is not about free market but excessive cost of doing business due to excessive taxes and levies of all kinds. Instead of the government widening the tax net, it preys on the few businesses in town.

With new shuttle aircraft, good customer services, and others Mr.Banda and his Antrack will survive with excessive profit margin. Antrack does not need advertisement to market itself. They are already known. So Ajit whatever you are saying really irrelevant at this point. Who wants to board a plane the drops height in the middle of sky or catches fire in the middle of sky. If the services are good people will potentially pay any ticket price to board.

He was all praise for Atta Mills and this government and now he is complaining when they greedily giving everything to the Chinese? It is an infant industry so they should just have no more than 3 airlines. The US with all the millions of travelers have only 4 major airlines for domestic flights. With fewer airlines each airline will carry more passengers and therefore be able to reduce their fares and that will encourage more people to fly. As there are more flights they will demand more supply of airline fuel and that will drive down the price of the fuel.

Conservative estimates put the cost of the renovation and expansion works at about 58millionGHC, and how much did the Mills-Mahama-Amissah Arthur administration give to Alfred Agbesi Woyome under fraudulent and dubious judgment debt? Is it any wonder that, Ghana is retrogressing under the global competitiveness index, whilst gov't spin machinery talks about bigoted tribal sentiments in the midst of such rot and malfeasance? Governance has gone to the dogs and Ghana is suffering from it profusely.
