KB, you probably must repeat that! Once upon a time there was real leadership in the country with real hope for the future but all have been destroyed

NDC manages to collapse every good thing that befall Ghanaians. If it were to be in USA the scheme would have rather gained its prominence. Shame on NDC

The unitary system of every developmental activities in present Ghana will not spearhead or accelerate the so needed development in Ghana. Instead, Ghana should start to look at allowing the planning and implementation of scheme at the regional levels. This can bring competition and efficiency at the regional levels. In short, Ghana in the modern times should consider federalism for fast-pace social and economic development. Why? simply put,in the past and at present economic developments and its processes have been very, very slow because there has always been that regional managers in individual regional offices have to wait for every decision to be taken from Accra. This is sickening. Where also most implementation of policies from Accra the head offices have always resulted to massive corruption. Also I believe the managerial skills and competencies cannot always be found in the Accra head offices, but can easily be available at the regional levels. Finally, Federalism can brings fast track development of infrastructure and economic gains at the regional and district levels. Better than those colonial structures still existing. We seen these from the examples of countries like Canada and the United States, Provinces or States if you like, do not have to wait for the national capital administrators, managers or CEO's to tell them when to take certain economic decisions in their own individual states or provinces. Why Ghana can't learn?

The report is too one sided. The challenges of the NHIS is equally important to be mentioned. Our public orgs must begin to consciously identify and publish misconduct periodically for deterant purposes. Though not with facts i am tempted, by the prevailing culture of negligence and corruption, to say that what is lost if known may make the successes solely highlighted hear insignificant.

Please, Mr. President, keep the NHIS running until an NPP gov't is elected to come and fix its problems since your gov't has no clue on how to manage it.

A true achievement of a truely patriotic government that put its people before corruption. NHIS has been recommended to many developing countries and the WHO always refer these countries to learn it from Ghana. The NPP did something really good for Ghana and we must all be pround of. Subsequent regimes must try to further these social intervention programs instead of collopsing them.
