Most Ghanaians both politicians and non politicians have no knowledge about what democracy is all about. That`s why we`re facing problems when we mention the word domocray.

Sometimes you just can't help yourself but say it exactly how it is. We have here 2 people going to cast their votes and after counting you have 3 ballot papers in the box. If you are a judge in such a case and you decide to say there is no over voting, you clearly are corrupt and people are entitled to feel you have taken bribes. People like Ayenini feel you have to be diplomatic at all costs but sometimes some judges go too far that the listening public cannot help themself but say exactly what they are thinking. The ex con tsikata's statement was simply designed to accuse others first about what they have done. Atubuga and his other cronies cannot say that when they come to conclusions which defy logic, they will continue to command our respect. They have behaved like common criminals and let's put diplomacy aside and find ways of investigating and punishing corrupt judges. If we are going to brush such things under the carpet, we will never move forward as a country. I know we have not seen the judgement yet but are the judges trying to say the ballot papers had sex in the ballot box and reproduced? The GBA instead of congratulating these corrupt individuals should be asking them critical questions and coming up with recommendations on how such corrupt individuals can be brought before the law. They can still be prosecuted.

DEAR READING PUBLIC OF GHANAWEB.COM,
THERE IS A WISDOM SAYING THAT "IF YOU LIVED IN A GLASS HOUSE YOU DO NOT THROW STONES" AND THAT AS I AM PERSONALLY AWARE IF IT COMES TO THE PROTECTION OF THE CONSTITUTION IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY GHANAIAN AND NOT ONLY SOME WHO THINKS THEY ONLY DESERVED THAT ONEROUS PROTECTION.
IT IS AT THESE RELATED BACKDROP THAT I AM RESPECTFULLY RECALLING THAT "NO ONE PERSON IS PARAGON OF LEGAL BRAINS" AND TO PURPORT SUCH NOTION IS ONLY PAROCHIAL THINKING".
THAT SO FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THAT THE LEGAL REASONING BEHIND BOTH COUNSELS OF PETITIONERS AND RESPONDENTS AS WELL AS OUR DEAR LORD JUSTICES TO BE ASCERTAINED BEFORE WE CAN REASONABLY AND HONESTLY PURPORT TO BE CASTING "INSUNNATION" SINCE THE SAME ACCUSATION CAN AND COULD BE LEVELLED AGAINST THE SAME PERSON CASTING THE INSUNNATION.
THAT TO UNDERTAKE TO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION, H.E.PRESIDENT OF GHANA JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA UNDER ARTICLE 57 CLAUSES 4,5 & 6 AND THE PRESIDENT OWN COUNSEL AND THE COUNSEL OF THE PRESIDENT OWN NDC RULING GOVERNMENT SHOULD SUBMIT TO THE SUPREME COURT TO DISMISS SUCH ARGUMENT CANVASSED IN SUPPORT OF THE PRESIDENT AND PROTECTION OF THE CONSTITUTION AND FOR THE COUNSEL FOR NDC TO PURPORT FURTHER THAT THE INTERVERNER HOLDING THE "AMICUS CURIAE BRIEF" WAS "INTERMEDLER" WAS NOT ONLY SERIOUS BUT BREACH AS COUNSELS TO PROTECT THE BEST INTEREST OF H.E.PRESIDENT OF GHANA JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA AND GHANA 1992 CONSTITUTION".
THAT I AM NOT YET APPRISED OF THE FULL JUDGEMENTS OF THE SUPREME COURT" TO FIND OUT WHETHER THAT LEGAL DEFECTS HAVE BEEN CURED OR THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA WAS MADE A LITIGANT IN THE CASE WHICH THE FRAMERS OF GHANA 1992 CONSTITUTION AND PEOPLE OF GHANA NEVER CONTEMPLATED AND THEREFORE CLEARLY PROVIDED FOR THOSE PROVISIONS.
THAT I HAVE ALSO NEVER SEEN IN THE C.I.16 A PROVISION MADE FOR "STATEMENT".
HOWEVER, SINCE LITIGATION SHOULD HAVE FINALITY THAT I AM RESPECTFULLY URGING ALL GOOD PEOPLE OF GHANA AND GHANA'S FRIENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD RATHER TO MAKE SCIENTIFIC, CONSTRUCTIVE LEGAL ANALYSIS OF THE CASE WHICH WOULD HELP TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF GHANA JURISPRUDENCE AND TO PURPORT TO RESORT ON THE CONTRARY WOULD ONLY BE A FRUITLESS AND TIME WASTING EXERCISE.
GOD BLESS GHANA AND LONG LIVE GHANA.
VERY TRULY YOURS,

Samson Lardi Ayenini, Esq., you have written a brilliant piece and it touches on a whole lot of issues, which needs to be properly contextualized and debated upon, to really, appreciate the issues you have raised and also, seek to properly understand, the angle and perspective, from which the so-called "political rabble rousers" are coming from and what their sentiments are, in the face of perceived injustice, according to what they have been privileged to be privy to. It is most definitely an understatement the culture of the politics of insults that has permeated our political discourse and has unfortunately found it's way into the legal fraternity, with the result that, the respect of the judiciary and their role in our democratic dispensation is gradually being eroded. Is it the doing of the political parties or it is a manifest failure on the part of the judiciary itself, to deal with issues, fairly, firmly and without fear or favour? Tsatsu Tsikata's comment and it's inference on the ability of one of the Justices to objectively rule on the issues brought before them, on the basis of when he was appointed and by who, is completely out of place, absurd and insults the very integrity and intelligence of the Judge and his Lordship Justice Yeboah. The bastardization of the judiciary carefully orchestrated by the political establishment to bend them to the machinations, manipulations and intrigues of the political establishment is not lost on the citizenry, and the selective approach to dealing with such issues fuels the perception that, the judiciary is gradually loosing the trust of the populace to address issues brought before them in an impartial, fair and proper manner. That is the perception out there and the judiciary should be seen to be manifestly taking the needed steps to erase that pernicious perception, because, after this, it is only going to get worse, before it gets better, if it would. In a democratic society where patronage is worshipped and in some instances, forms the core of decisions at the very expense of proper and right conduct, the frustrations and pent up anger would only get worse by the day with more insults and more vilification. Is it good for justice delivery when it's been observed that emotions run high and therefore clouds and influences justice delivery, in the face of evidence, to prove to the contrary, then we have a problem.
The legislature needs to do a lot more to gain the trust of the citizenry by doing right by our laws and that's the only way, they would gain the respect of the masses and curb the increasing trend of insults, not just from their own, but from the political establishment and the citizenry as a whole. There should be continuous reforms in the judiciary and transparency in their activities so as to engender trust. The GBA should also do well to liaise with the NCCE to educate the masses about the relevant provisions of our laws, which our Judges appropriate in giving judgment in cases of national public interest such as this election petition, which should be forthcoming very soon, from the exhaustive document on this case. The onus lies on the judiciary to be absolutely fair and firm in dispensing justice.

Where is ur sense of objectivity? NPP will continue to lose elections until they realize this country cannot be governed on the platform of lies and subjectivity.
