Do NPP people think, the court should let you take over the presidency? The whole world watched the court proceedings throughout and are impressed the way the case was handled. Dr Afari-Gyan has overseen 6 elections in Ghana, 2 of which were won by NPP and 4 by NDC. Under his chairmanship, the EC has worked hard to conduct free and fair elections. All elections have been reviewed in consultation with the political parties and civil groups through IPAC, and lessons learnt have been implemented to improve the conduct of subsequent elections.

The lessons learnt in these last elections will be implemented to improve the conduct of the 2016 elections.

The sordid attempts by the petitioners' counsel to discredit Dr Afari-Gyan are despicable, and the opprobrium hurled at him by mindless people is disgraceful to say the least.

Dr Afari-Gyan's record as Chair of the Electoral Commission is admirable. He has served the nation diligently, and has worked with international bodies including the UN and Africa Union, advising on the conduct of elections.

Let us honour those who sacrifice themselves in the interest of our nation, and stop the 'pull him down' nonsense.
