Mr. Acquah, it is very sad that you are in your country and someone comes from another country to deny you your basic rights with the support of your own government. What agreement did the government of Ghana sign with Newmont. How does this agreement benefit Ghanaians? We are better off without revenue from gold. The agreements favour only our political leaders and the multinationals. Let Newmont realize that one day Ghanaian youth will rise up and challenges its operations just like the Ijaw people have challenged Shell in Nigeria putting its operations at a standstill since 1993. We cannot sit down while the land bequeathed to us by our forefathers is wasted by a foreign company. Our parliamentarians cannot even protect us. We must protect ourselves. Mr Acquah, don't cave in, please.
