Atsu what annoys me more than even the crimes committed against our country is when people come up with expressions such as God Bless our Homeland.
God has created you and He has given you brains, hands, legs, a stomach, feelings, speech, hearing and many more in his own image. Yet we reject all these wonderful divine gifts and choose to behave like pigs and the devil combined whilst singing hymns, saying prayers and regularly genuflecting in a most holy manner in the house of God.
We then turn around and behave as if it is the devil incarnate himself who created us. That is because we dont think, we are vindictive, we are lazy, we are spineless and cowardly and given the option, we would rather choose to be corrupt for petty ephemeral gains than to be morally principled for universal and eternal benefit, in all cases.
Now if all this negative substance is not made from the devils backyard then I dont know where else we picked up such behavior from.
The problem with Tony Aidoo is that he is in the wrong Party and he has had to conduct himself in the manner of all the despicable characters and standards of that Party. Looking at even the quality of insults that Tony Aidoo fearlessly and regularly unleashes in the public domain gives a hint to the fact that the man has undermined his own potential by associating with scum and by that association, he has also become a quintessential example of scum himself.
We all have a choice in life and he has chosen his. He has chosen to incinerate all his lifetime efforts in the pursuit of a mirage imagined by a misbegotten clown. A true vintage Don Quixote for you.

Effortless prose in a good read. But unpremised, insulting conclusion.
Courage is the strength of mind and spirit. If you have convictions and the balls to spout those convictions, you have the courage of your conviction. If you are in politics, you are a conviction politician, not a stomach one. If you are a conviction politician who have never wavered in your convictions and have evinced a consistency over time, surely you would qualify to be said to have integrity. In my own humble view ( contrary to yours, Sir) Dr Tony Aidoo is one such man. Party affiliation aside, his elucidation of his positions over time leaves no doubt as to the consistency of his stance. That is integrity; Dr Aidoo has it. If it gets your goat that a man of such fine pedigree, enormous intellect and oral prowess has exercised his right of association as he has seen fit, you really ought to be more liberal - coming from the party of freedom and liberty so-called. If your beef is that by the singular measure of the quality of his insults, he really ought to belong with your lot (as yours is the insulting party), then you should rather celebrate him for his brand of invective being the quintessence of your party's stock-in-trade.

Jengbera Jengbe (out of curiosity, is that a real or an assumed name), after reading your reaction, I read through mine to find where I might have made the fatal slip of falling in prose with "the party of freedom and liberty so-called."
Perhaps if you had hesitated a while you might have discovered in-between the lines of my contribution and down the line of further contributions to that article that, I am in no way affiliated to that political dispensation which your discreet but reckless hints, allude to. Jengbera Jengbe, discretion, is the better part of valor.
I know that it is generally slave-raiders, colonial tyrants, capitalist exploiters and their minions as well as the entire cabal of imperialist neo-colonial missionaries who are fond of peddling - and in the process over-flogging the use of the words 'freedom' and 'liberty' just only in the futile pursuit to conceal their real vicious identities. Im not in that gang.
I dont belong to that putrid stock of imperialist cheer-leaders and also I really find it offensive when people straight-jacket everything or every spoken word into either the NDC or NPP mold.
For your information, I actually consider it as an affront to be remotely associated with a Party and its philosophy that actively sought to undermine the Independence of Ghana and the ambitious development initiatives that were laid out in the 1st Republic for the long-awaited escape from poverty and domination, the entire Black race of Africans. No sane, politically conscious or intelligent African would lend his/her support to such people who have by intent and default, unashamedly caused so much havoc and pain to the long-suffering people of Africa.
As for Tony Aidoo, I still think that he is a little bit of an eccentric in the way that he likes to make himself appear to be unnecessarily abrasive. That is probably why he finds solace and comfort in the NDC which by the vulgar mold of its founder, seems to me to be a party that projects itself as such and therefore attracts that genre of sympathizers.
I really dont disagree with you that Tony Aidoo is a man of great intellect. My whole point is that, that extraordinary quality of his has been grossly abused by himself to the cause of nothing that history would favorably eulogize or remember him for. He seems to have the strength of mind that could have established some worthy achievements for Ghana in our history books. This could have been achieved in the political domain or otherwise.
However lending himself to the demeaning and rumbustious task as a rottweiler at the gates of the NDC govt has alas, at the end of the day, earned him nothing and his toil and sweat has become a wasted effort.
Needless to say, his screeching silence in the face of the overwhelming and unprecedented levels of growing corruption and shameful ineptitude going on daily in his 'dearly beloved' NDC, speaks volumes of the turmoil that must probably be going on in the mans mind.

Im sorry for you if you are afraid that it might get worse because we have long passed that mark and level of decadence.

IMANI????? Bro' forget about them. I would advise you to first of all find out how and from where they are financed.
The same goes for all those so-called tro-ke-kpendwe (penny-half-penny in Ga) NGO's and charitable organizations who are all just simply hanging on to the apron strings of merciless foreign exploiters of our resources in collusion with infinitely corrupt leaders. I would describe them as modern-day Trojan horses for the realization of the sinful cause of neo-colonialism.
For those who dont know what neo-colonialism means, it simply depicts the situation where instead of the long and tedious journey of traveling over here to catch slaves and carry them all the way to Europe and America under distressing conditions, they have come up with the brilliant idea of keeping the slaves right here on home soil and making us do all the dirty work in our mines, oil fields, industries and public services whilst they take away the lions share - normally not less than 80% of productivity and output of our blood and sweat. This in brief is the dummies version of what neo-colonialism means.

Keep our gold in the soil - not harnessing our natural resources for a better use? Is this the position of Tony Aidoo.
In addressing the short fall in factor reward, let's examine the capacity of those that we put in charge of negotiating with those investors who arrive with the intention to till our land. Our negotiators may lack the capacity to negotiate on equal footing with the investors. The other factor could the under hand dealing by our negotiators - who collude with their counter-parts to have their share deposited in foreign accounts.Has anyone wondered how some public servants and some of our politicians drive in twenty-first century cars on sixteen century road?
Tony Aidoo may be part of this group of people who join hands with these foreign investors to rob our country dry.In my view he knows the problem, but simply trying to throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.
Tony Aidoo, some of us were born in the day but not today. You can't continue to fool us.

THERE IS TOO MUCH UNPATRIOTIC ATTITUDE IN OUR CONFINES.THAT IS KILLING US.
Ghana has to protect our NATURAL RESOURCES FROM BEING LOOTED FREELY BY FOREIGNERS.
It's sad, that it's now that we could construct one gold refinery, since time immemorial, though GHANA has been the second largest producer in Africa, and the tenth in the world.
WE DO NOT GRAVITATE TOWARDS THE WEIGHTIER MATTERS BUT THE TRIVIAL,UNTIL WE LOSE ALL.
ISN'T THAT SAD?
WE HAVE TO QUALIFY PEOPLE'S ACCESS TO OUR NATION,WITH RESPECT TO OUR NATURAL RESOURCES EXPLOITATION.
What we fail to confront,we can never change. It grows, become nourished and flourishes,to the detriment of the nation.
THERE HAVE TO BE SOME LAWS THAT BIND FOREIGNERS IN THE EXPLOITATION OF OUR RESOURCES,OR WE WOULD HAVE NO LEGACY FOR OUR FUTURE CHILDREN TO ENTAIL.

I have argued and concluded Ghana must nationalise these sectors in order to fund a 10-15 year, science and technology-led Development and Modernisation Programme (DMP), by working with the private sector.
For my efforts, I have either been insulted directly by some ignorant people, or generally ignored by our so-called 'media-agenda' intellectuals, who rather waste a lot of public time talking copiously about the Election Petition, Woyome Judgement Debts or other such matters.
They have all turned a blind eye to the exploitation of our resources by the IMF-SAP and western Transnational vultures! Our leaders (both NDC-NPP) walk around sumnambolising like emperors without clothes.
The time may have come for us to stop dreaming pies in the skies. Watch this space for my serialised articles on the pros and cons of nationalisation.

God himself will deal with people like Sam Jonah who like some of the Africans of old, helped the evil whiteman to catch some of his own brothers and sisters into slavery. This is how in a few decades, history will perceive them.
He falls into the accursed category with people like JB Danquah, Busia, Obetsebi-Lamptey, Afrifa, Kotoka, Harley, Deku, Akuffo-Addo and co.
For their selfish ends, they all actively and willfully assisted the evil whiteman to undermine a better future for millions of Africans who as a result, continue to languish in dire poverty.
May their foul souls as well as those of their childrens children rot in the hottest and the most execrable parts of hell at the pleasure of Satan for evermore.

The President ,Speaker and all Members of Parliament from that time (2003) or any Government who willfully failed Mother Ghana should not be spared. They should all face the Supreme Court. After all Tsatsu Tsikata was jailed for using GNPC to guarantee for another Company,so Mahama ,sweep under the Carpet else your Administration will be blamed.Late President Atta-Mills was trying to save them hence Ghana from International Arbitration Court, now, his leniency turned out to be his insult.and Woyomegate.Mahamah most of the problems you're facing was inherited so please start Ghana so that if people are jailed irrespective of your position in the Society, whether retired or still serving.Let's take cue from Israel if you're President or Prime Minister you go against the Laws of the Land you go to Jail. Until house. Cleaning comes again ,Ghana will be under developed. We are not PATRIOTIC hence our lagging behind Singapore and Malaysia in development, we think only ourselves instead. of Ghana.
