I reserve the right as a citizen of Ghana to protect and defend my honour and integrity should this civilized challenge for the truth be ignored.
This is not the price I should be made to pay by the Government of Ghana for defending the Constitution of Ghana in the Waterville and Isofoton unconstitutional payments declared by the Supreme Court.

The latest sensation to hit the Ghana politico-judiciary scene are these ATUGUBAS. With the younger one just promoted from Secretary of the Constitutional Review Committee to the Executive Secretary to the Executive President of Ghana, and the older one pontificatuing as untouchable Lord Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, it's just fair to find out where these Atugubas come from. Some say they are Ewes-Anlos but most say the name Akongboro in the Middle name of the younger fledgling legal purists proves they are from somewhere in the vast Northern peninsular...but is he a Gonja, Walewale, Frafra, diagarti or from Sandema if not a wulensi or a tampolensi man? Are the Atugubas Nanumba or Dagombas or from dog eating Dagarba?
Lord have mercy on us!
The Atugubas are now the flavour of the month: The Elder or Senior no- nonsense Supremo says he does not know Sir John but was pictured sitting with NDC's General Mosquito in an open ceremony...In the past, where proper Judges knew decorum and respect, it wont ever happen that a supreme court will sit among party functionaries...but these Atugubas are now the law itself and know one Party general Secretary but not the other Party general Secretary...Wonders! That children of these Northerners can rise up to be so arrogant and self conceited wielding such arbitrary powers of justice in modern Ghana...hmmm
Therefore I ask: Where do the Atugubas come from? Please let me know!

Personally i think these are some of the benefits of the election petition which we should be grateful for. The petition is turning out to be a blessing in disguise for the ordinary Ghanaian. As much as people had different opinions on this petititon, i think it has brought some level of decency into our politics through the judges action to check unguarded statements for political hotheads, even Asiedu Nkatia has been off the rader lately, but knuckle head Sir John kept on till he's now met his masters. Hopefully the spewing of nonsense on radio stations will gradually come to a halt which would be good for Ghana. The atmosphere was getting to heated up. Whether we like it or not, Nana Addo has helped elighten many Ghanaians through this election petition. I just hope this experience truly turns out to be a blessing in disguise.

SUPREME COURT: PETITION PLEASE ! ! !
At no point in time in our living memory have Ghana and Ghanaians been so filled to the brim with political expectation and apprehension. Our constitutional history has been checquered, but hardly can we identify a period when constitutional matters have bated the breath of Ghana, not even the events of 1979! With the exception of infants, every Ghanaian has followed the proceedings at the Supreme Court over the contestation of electoral results. Fortunately, every Ghanaian has meticulously followed the Supreme Court proceedings arising from the petition of the NPP Presidential candidate over the results of the 2012 presidential elections, out of which the EC declared Mr John Mahama as the winner.
Even though most Ghanaians are not legal-minded, we all tried to understand the proceedings over the famous pink sheets on TV and over the radio. Now, the battle over pink sheets is over, and religious, traditional and opinion leaders have vociferously and consistently come out urging all Ghanaians to quietly and unconditionally accept the decision that would soon come out of the mouth of the revered Supreme Court. Otumfuo the Asantehene has been urging all Ghanaians and the followers of the two major political parties to pledge acceptance of the very much-awaited Supreme Court decision. At a forum organized by the Ghana Peace Council last week, leaders of all political parties agreed to accept whatever decision the Supreme Court comes out with. So, one might ask, what then is our problem?
We are faced with a huge and terribly dangerous problem because in spite of all the peace overtures, certain adamant elements across the political divide are beating war drums, promising blood and mayhem if the Supreme Court decision does not come their way. Serial callers, radio stations and newspapers with varying political affiliations are part of this dangerous development. Have they forgotten that the Supreme Court is the final constitutional arbiter whose decisions have no penchant for appeal and cannot be questioned? In the context of our wise sayings, the Supreme Court, like the elephant, has no higher authority: ‘Oson ekyi nyi aboa biara’.
Ghana is praised and touted around the world as the most democratic nation in Africa, with high global ranking. Other countries have split up and fought and spilled their own blood and the blood of their children over electoral results. Remember Kenya.
To ensure that Ghana remains our loving Ghana and that we put the past behind us after the Supreme Court decision and focus on development, I am making a huge suggestion in the direction of HOW THE SUPREME COURT BRINGS THEIR DECISION TO GHANAIANS AND THE REST OF THE WORLD. How the Supreme Court announces its decision will make the difference between peace and war. The security agencies have primed themselves to stem any dangers that might follow the wake of the Supreme Court decision, and they already know the communities, neighbourhoods and groupings from whom political violence may be ignited after the SC decision. These dangerous communities and die-hard groupings are famously and variously known and world banks, cadres, foot soldiers and FOOLED SOLDIERS.
My scenario for the Supreme Court is as follows:
1.The Supreme Court decision must be covered by all our television and radio networks so that it comes live to every home, shop and office.
2. The international media should also be present to cover this epoch-making event which will actually ‘open the eyes of the rest of Africa’.
3. The decision must be announced early in the day, say, nine o’clock am. My reason for this is that such timing will enable a full and sober digestion of the decision for at least ten hours before bedtime. If the announcement comes at, say, six pm, the dangerous elements listed above will use the cover of the night to start setting political fires. An early morning decision is very much wiser.
4. All the presidential candidates must be present, including of course the two protagonists, Nana Akuffo Addo and Mr John Mahama. The presence of the other presidential candidates I shall justify very soon.
5. HE Dr Kofi Annan, and all members of the Ghana Peace Council must also be present to lend weight to the SC decision. The lawyers from both divide must also be present, but must not make any media comments after the SC announcement.
5. The two most potentially-dangerous persons in Ghana as I write now must be placed under ‘soft’ police detention for at least seventy-two hours from the morning of the SC decision announcement. If you do not know these two very dangerous ‘mouths’ in Ghana, I identify them as General Mosquito of the NDC and Sir John of the NPP. They must not have access to any media house for these seventy-two hours. This is most important, Justice Atuguba!
6. As soon as the Supreme Court announces their decision, the candidate who loses this ‘friendly’ contest must make a most important speech targeted to his teeming supporters to go back to their homes, shops and offices to apply themselves to their daily tasks, so that Ghana becomes the winner.
7. The other presidential candidates must also take the microphone to talk to Ghanaians and congratulate the Supreme court, the contestants and their followers.
8. The last person to speak before a great thanksgiving prayer done by all the religious leaders present is HE Dr Kofi Annan, and the Chairman of the Ghana Peace Council.
9. Finally, there should be no blackout throughout the country during the trying times that have made me write this suggestion.
I am very confident in my belief that on that day, Ghana will once again give Africa and the rest of the world another lesson in what democracy means. Pictures of the two contestants hugging and back-slapping each other must be painted on the cover of every newspaper.
Honourable Supreme Court, this is my petition, please.

Atugiba's outburst shows his profound dislike of Akans in general and Ashantis in particular. The writing is on the wall;this country cannot survive as one polity in the near future.Inspite of his ilk been at the helm of affairs for 20 plus years;there is nothing tangible socio-economically to show forth in the live of the ignorant impoverished masses except the loot and the mess we are inundated with.I have always re-echoed this truism the only feasible way forward for the Akan majority is outright secession if they are indeed serious about attaining any meaningful socio-economic development. With these "leeches" hanging around any meaning attempt at this quest will falter.

Sir John went way too far! At any rate the law is the law so one expects the Presiding judge to not be too personal. He should allow the rules of the game of law dictate. And if there's room for clemency the Justices may consider that!

When I listen to intelligent and significant people like His Lordship Justice Atubuga I am proud to be a Ghanaian. These are the characters of significant people whose examples most of us the young ones will keenly learn from and follow because their words and actions demonstrate their keen commitment to put their heads on the block for mother Ghana just as our fore fathers shed their blood to our Nation, Ghana. People like His Lordship Justice Atubuga don't seek self-interest or aggrandizement politically or economically. They show humility and accommodation of all differences irrespective of their social, physical, economical, sexual or political backgrounds. They strike the sword to demonstrate, justice, equity and fairness without fear or foe. They discharge their public duties entrusted in them with excellence this are the examples of citizens whose behaviour enhance progress and advancement in any country. His Lordship, Justice Atuguba was absolutely right when he said 'Politicians have disabled law and enforcement agencies because of the power they have allotted to themselves and it is up to the Judiciary to clamp down on political bigotry. If we don't we will be letting the state down' I would add the media houses and the so called journalists who think they are law to themselves and abuse the rights of others by fabricated stories, lies and innuendos and deceitfully call it 'democracy' to his list of people with unsavoury characters and personalities who turn to wreck advancement in Ghana. Now listen to the final nailing by His Lordship Atubuga-'your utterances amount to 'illegal political galamsey'. I hope owusu afriyie understand this 'brofo'. So now owusu afriyie should demonstrate to his Lordship Justices the source of his power. I don't think that neither NPP nor Ghana gave owusu afriyie the power or authority to displace total respect and contempt to our laws, culture and envious tradition which hold Ghanaians together. As the Gas say, ' nabu len ake enuntsor mi she gbeye'- (literary means that the big mouth is not aware that his master is afraid of the utterances i.e the lose talks that the big mouth makes). Enough of the lawlessness and the indiscipline behaviour towards the citizens and the state by our politicians and journalists. Let justice take precedent over forgiveness. No justice would no doubt breed anarchy. No society lives in an anarchist state.

Being a judge comes with recognition of respect, but it does NOT mean you're immune to criticism!! A judge is NOT above reproach. Can this judge lock horns with EVERY citizen who expresses dissatisfaction over his opinion? Agutuba has demonstrated bias throughout this court case: his comments lased with "jokes" and seriousnes alike bear him out.
We cannot be "yes-men" singing praises even to opinions we disagree with just because a judge says so. what kind of democracy is that? It'll not be sustainable!!

This compare to 2, 3 or 10 days in jail is most severe. You get a short jail term you go to jail and you are out. But not so for you. You better watch your mouth even after the petition is over. All who are in contempt serve their sentences and are free but not Johnny boy. Let's see how you'd behave in the next six months. I guarantee he will try something and will be caught and sent to jail for real. Cheers. The SC judges are sssssssssssssssmart and the know what they are doing. Thank you very much

I have always stated in all my speeches to people around me whenever they ask me much about Ghana and i used to tell them that its a collapse nation that whatever you will invest there will never work.
Ghana is a country which its institutions are like back yard garden,we have never benefited anything from that land and the worst of it all we only benefiting diseases and all sorts of ailments.Infact any time i visit Ghana i usually want to return back to a foreign and which my forefathers never contributed to it building but rather feels comfortable and some people upon all sorts of outrageous hardshipness its citizens go through without food and shelter for 1/3 of the population, some people still have the gust to say judges and mp's and etc.
They still have the impunity and the power to still give themselves titles in that banana country.
Oh anytime i visit my family there in Ghana i cry,due to the fact that i see no future in the country they live and expect us the youth to go a hussle and send goods foe them to impose high taxes and uses it to send their girlfriends to schools abroad like i know many of them around and still become proud of themselves.
Shame on to you all, with me i will never regard any elder person in that useless country a country that its youth or children runs from home to look for daily bread outside at the tender ages and even take care of his entire family's.
Judges were you not the same people that sat on woyome case ,isofoton and waterville case and robbed poor Ghanaians daily bread and shared among yourselves, where were the legalities and the theories and standards, you all compromised and said yeh yeh to the international companies and took your percentages now you sit in that hot office with dirty chairs and stingy dresses to pass judgement on contemptous issues.
You all have lost diginities and have none left.I pray to God to squash all of you hypocrites with thunderstorms one day.

Justice Atuguba sounded frustrated when he presided over the Sir John's case at the SC. He could not understand why someone, who had made it through the legal profession should turn round to disparage the Judiciary. Let me console him with an Akan adage:"Nipa aye yi te se aboa akoko. Odidi wei a na odi n'ano atwitwiri fom." To wit - humans behave like the chicken after eating it brushes its beak on the ground. Justice Atuguba made a similar observation in the Awuku's case. Politicians must be cut to size.

this man sir John in the name of politics has no respect for the leaders of the nation. he must know that being the general secretary of a political party does not give you the license to descend on anybody. I am sure he has zeal but his zealousness for his party has driven him crazy. I remember one time on angel fm when the late president Mills passed, he made a statement and from that time i saw him him to be rude and arrogant. perhaps he has no parents to advice him to take precautions in the way he addresses issues on political matters. at least not ATUGUBA but the State Laws has clamped him down. Hope he learns lessons to behave well and understand that the state is powerful than he thinks he is and not the SC judges. Its about the state and nothing else.i live here in Germany and most of us living abroad knows and sees what happens. there is sanity in the politics of the western world. the mode of conduct is respectful. we stay abroad and talk nonsense over issues we are not involved in. who is this man Sir John to take ghana for that matter for a ride? does the leaders of the npp have conscience at all? then they need to sit up and curb some of these things which will affect the party. i rest my case
