  No matter what the ndc and their agent provocateurs say the fact remains the country can never move forward if the majority are marginalized and excluded from truly being represented as is the the case today. after killing mills these criminals have used ideology , propaganda , election trickery and engineering leading up to rigging of the vote with the help of the heavily politicized national security . anyone who dares cry foul is persecuted by the police and lately the judiciary . we now have a govt lopsided in favor of minorities such as the ayigbe and muslim northerners , this act alone proves none of them ever believed in ghana talk less of equal opportunity for all citizens irrespective of their background. we have no choice but to recognize these facts and do what is necessary to stop the process of colonization by these misfits . the divisions among us are so great its now evident to all its only a matter when this will lead to conflict and war. they think because they control the judiciary , nation security and other institutions of oppression that they are safe but i will remind them that's what the communists in Romania , Saddam in Iraq , Gaddafi in Libya and even the British imperialists thought. the Lord is on our side and we shall soon have our freedom . the economy is going backwards , even their own people dont believe in prosperity so are hurriedly pillaging the coffers , corruption of such magnitude that they dont even bother investigating or trying to rectify these crimes in short a mess which is skydiving into a disastrous catastrophe just as Sodom and Gomorrah were until fire erased them . pepeni at the drop of a hat runs to the most ridiculous of meetings just so he may not be caught in the country when things explode . they persecute the npp but dont realise its a different kind of leader that is born in times of war and those leaders a waiting patiently for the clarion call , long live the republic of Akan . to all those who wish and pray for the de Akanization of Ghana i say may you all be burned alive

  Need Ben Epshon the CIA agent, be told that in presidential elections, every vote counts and not the number of regions that a candidate gains a majority that is used as the criteria for declaring a winner ?
  
  How blockheaded can he be to claim that Nana Addo nearly became a president in 2008 with only two regions when he obtained over a million votes from 8 regions besides Eastern and Ashanti region ?
  
  If by Afari Djan's pink sheets, 400,000 NDC voters who voted in the parliamentary elections for NDC candidates did not vote for Mahama in the presidential elections on the same day,same time and same place, wherein lies the sense to say that Addison has scored a late own goal ?

How can one constituency have 50,000 as you intimated and another have 16,000? That is three times the number in one constituency as compared to the other. There are regions in Ghana like Upper West that should have 6 constituencies instead of 12 due to the number of people living there.

Maybe this will help: Ashanti region has 47, Greater Accra has 32, Eastern region has 31, Brong Ahafo has 27, Northern has 31, Upper East and West combined have 26, Volta has 26, Western has 26 and Central has 23. I think Kumasi itself needs more MPs but on the other hand, these MPs are getting paid big time for no work done. They are not doing anything to help their constituencies but filling their bellies .

  Will people who truly believe in the the tenets of the rule of law resort to outright lies,and veiled threats to try to 'convince' the SC panel to rule in their favour? Would the reverse not engender the chaos and instability Addison and his team are foretelling?
  Are these attempts not the hallmark of 'bad losers'? And far from depicting "intellectual laziness", I believe the petitioners have followed a sophisticated script,put together with the 'encouragement' of highly placed persons in this country`s administration of justice. Absent thwat, how could this dubious and frivilous enterprise take off and gain the false momentum we have witnessed? Can anybody believe these characters would have had the audacity think about putting out a 200-page book about a petition that was,by all accounts,floundering badly?
  Unless the silent majority wakes up to what is going on, we are all doomed! We have inadvertently allowed the seeds of doom and gloom to be panted in this beautiful country, and it is sad indeed.

Secondly Mahama like Kuffour was more popular than most of his MPs in their constituencies, ask Kennedy Agyapong and he would tell you that in 2004 he was the only MP that scored more votes than Kuffour. Akuffo Addo has proved to be less popular than most of the NPP PMs. That is how come he could garner only 16 votes extra. In any case why is Addison bringing in the votes of MPs? Was it an issue in the pleading? Trying to score an offside goal and getting caught.

  If you put all the votes gained by the minority party parliamentary candidates together, they do not come up to 200,000. So even if all those who voted for the presidential candidates of the minority parties (most unlikely), voted for MAhama, he still would not have got that much more than his parlimentary colleagues.
  
  So the clue really lies in the illegal duplicates triplicate and quarduplicate pink sheets that the EC printed. What Asiedu Nketia referred to as "foreing materials." That is where all the fraud came from. It doesn't really take rocket science to figure that out, Ben Ephsons, Tony Aidoo, even with your aggregate nines in Add Maths and Elementary Maths at 'O''Levels!

  In fact, it emerged from the special polling that some voters only voted for the presidential and did not vote for the parliamentary.
  
  The other fact also is that NPP piled up huge votes in Ashanti region for the parliamentary. The NDC only won by big margins in the Volta region. The strength of the NDC lies in the spread of its votes across the country, whereas the NPP votes were concentrated in Ashanti, and parts of Eastern region.
  
  It is therefore plausible that the total NPP parliamentary vote would be more than the NDC vote, while President Mahama would win the presidential vote.
  
  One pertinent issue which undermines the case of the petitioners is that a careful analysis of the election results shows that people did vote skirt and blouse in certain areas. It is also clear that NPP won seats where it was not expected to, while NDC also won seats it was not expected to win. KEEA is a case in point. Moreover, with the exception of Ashanti and Volta and parts of Eastern region, margins of victory were relatively small.
  
  Thus the notion that the election was rigged is not borne out by the results.

We the people will ask for a change in the next general election. Constituencies must be demarcated such that we go by the population and not land size.   What baffles me is why the EC DID NOT Contest the authenticity of the pink sheets presented by the petitioners. Would it not have been more transparent for the EC to produce their pink sheets for comparison. Would it not have dispelled the doubts surrounding this duplicate pink sheet argument by the petitioners where it may be argued that the duplicates helped in getting the additional 400,000 for Mahama?Afterall these same could have been done in 2008 election.

  Everywhere in the world,it's the number of legislators voted into parliament by the electorate that forms the basis of Majority and Minority blocks.Apparently,the EC cannot impose on all constituencies to have equal population.That will be a folly of the highest degree.Therefore the difference in vote cast for every MP differs from even their own party MPs because it's not uniform so I am not surprised at all.The difference of votes and difference of seats are not the same thing and has nothing to do with the presidential élections.When we factor in the millions of floating voters,the calculation of Addison will perish immediately.The floating voters are the King makers but not the hard core party members.Can somebody tell me the number of floating voters for the 2012 general élections and their impact in the presidential?Besides,the petitioners did not factor this into their claims so it's lousy.Thank you.

  ITS SHAME ADDISON COULD NOT REALISED THAT ALL THE 5 INDEPENDENTS PARLIAMENTARIANS WERE ALL NDC MEMBERS AND THAT THOSE VOTES WOULD HAVE GONE TO THE NDC PARLIAMENTARIANS IN THOSE CONSTITUENCIES IF THEY HAD NOT CONTESTED, YET PREZ. MAHAMA HAD ALL THOSE VOTES INCLUDING THAT OF THE NDC ASPIRANTS AND THE INDEPENDENTS CANDIDATE IN THOSE CONSTITUENCIES. COME AGAIN ADDISON

  If you have 99% wins in only 2 very populous constituencies and the other has only 55% wins in 4 small constituencies, you would end up with a higher number of individual votes in parliament and yet be minority in parliament with fewer seats.
  It's awfully ridiculous for Addison to be making such comparison.

  The first point was that the demarcation of Constituencies undermines the principle of each vote being equal in weight. Thus you have several constituencies whose voter population is less than 20,000 electing one MP - same as constituencies with voter population over 90,000. This is contrary to the Constitution but this should be a battle for another day.
  
  The second Addison point is the Mahama differential of 447,000 with NDC Candidates. He said this was curious and sure it is. I have spent the few days analysing the election returns. It does seem that votes flowed from the minority parties solely to the benefit of John Mahama. Thus those who voted for CPP, PNC, CPP, PPP, and NDP parliamentary candidates almost en bloc decided to ignore their Presidential Candidates to heap all the votes on Mahama's. This is what makes it curious because it is not credible that all the supporters of the minority parties will decide en mass to abandon their presidential candidates. Even if this were to happen, it is far fetched to expect that all would go to the benefit of John Mahama.

  But for this repugnant feeling toward Akufo Addo, he could have been president in 2008 and of course in 2012 because there were enough NPP voters to give him more than 50% of the votes.
  Dr Arthur Kennedy, Wereko Brobey, Kwame Pianim and many other giants within the NPP who know Akufo Addo at close range have severally shown their dislike for Akufo Addo as president.
  The SC verdict will bring his political life to an end and he must blame himself for it.

  We are know where Ben Ephson stands politically - he is NDC-biased and all his contributions and so called polls have invariably favored the NDC. So, it is not surprising that he would engage in such contorted logic after his prediction that the NDC would tear the evidence of the petitioners to shreds went dead when the petition was filed.
  
  On this latest contorted logic, Ben has demonstrated that he does not understand the basics of electoral maths. Ghana is not running the electoral college system, as in the US. Hence, presidential elections are about the total number of votes a candidate gets, not about how many regions voted for the candidate. If 80% of Ghana's population were living in Accra and a candidate can manage to get 50%+1 votes from that region alone, he or she will be president, even though the candidate would have won from only ONE region out of 10!. So that argument is really grade school stuff. Hence, for the information of Ben the "renowned pollster" Nana Addo nearly winning with only two regions is statistically possible!!!!!
  
  To the substantive question then, Addison's point remains valid. Skirt and blouse voting happens, but one would not expect such large variances between what a Presidential candidate gets and what his own party members, who are a majority in parliament, also get. If that were the case, the President should end up with an opposition majority in parliament.
  
  Comparison to 2008 is false. From what we now know happened with the 2012 elections, is it not just possible, renowned pollster, that the same degree of malpractices and statutory violations were perpetrated in the past? The fact that thief was caught only today does not been he started only today. The watchmen may simply have been more alert and smarter this time!! Ben is wrong and wrong again.

  How can Addison make reference to total number of votes of electec MPs as an indicator of who won the presidential? This is at the height of a grand design to throw dust in the eyes of the justices of the SC. If that was the case there would be no separate elections. All we needed to do is add up the total number of votes of MPs. Now what would happen to the votes of the independent MPs? Where would their votes go? Secondly,take Ashanti Region where Mahama had more than 400,000 votes with only three or so NDC MPs. This is where the difference in votes of President Mahama and his MPs total votes arises. That is what Addison chose to ignore. That is what forms the bulk of the huge difference. Addison can choose to close his eyes to the truth. Secondly Mahama like Kuffour was more popular than most of his MPs in their constituencies, ask Kennedy Agyapong and he would tell you that in 2004 he was the only NPP MP that scored more votes than Kuffour. Akuffo Addo has proved to be less popular than most of the NPP MPs. That is how come he could garner only 16 votes extra. In any case why is Addison bringing in the votes of MPs? Was it an issue in the pleading? Trying to score an offside goal and getting caught. On this very deceitful attempt alone, the petition ought to be thrown out.
