What must be done now is to match salaries with productivity.Again more efforts must be put in intensifying supervision, reduce corruption and block the loopholes.

The notion that public sector workers who have been migrated onto the SSPP are the cause of the increasing wage bill is surely a fallacy and a very moot suggestion. First, if one is to look critically at the policy, not all the public sector workers who have been migrated, are enjoying increase in their salaries as compared to what they were receiving previously or if any, it is at best insignificant.
So effectively the impression being created needs to be debunked in no uncertain terms.
Now, lets focus our attention on the politicians whose salary have jumped about 500% and are taking a chunk of the resources of the country not to talk of their numerous benefits and allowances all of which goes to blow the wage bill out of the skies, and the sad aspect of this whole thing being, the citizenry not getting any value for money whatsoever, when input as against output are weighed on a scale.
Ghanaians deserve better and the Mahama-Amissah Arthur administration have not done enough on the executive side to appropriate about 55% of the supposed 70% increase in the wage bill when one considers the SSPP.
