all permits to non citizens should valid for only 6 months or a year and must be subjected to renewal every year so that at anytime, it could be revoked and the holder goes down to his or her country one very quick time..this ...

Good idea, but my concern is after all this expense data collection excercise, how far can we ensure that illegal migrants in Ghana are arrested and removed especially the criminal ones in order to realise full benefits of this programme? Collection of these sensitive data must also be used to control future immigration in terms of the calibre of professionals/investors/people we need to develop Ghana.

In Ghana's case we can engage a special enforcement agency made up of the police, military, immigration service, lawyers, demographic experts, etc to strenghten checks at entry points and borders as well as removing illegals. All illegals who commit crimes or have been convicted of any criminal offence would be automatically removed. But my concern is, the govt has fallen short of publishing full periodic reports on the negative impacts of uncontrolled immigration on the Ghanaian economy. We hear about the fulanis cattlemen, nigerians 419 & armed robberies, chinese galamseys, etc. but still no detailed account is reported to the general public by authorities responsible for managing migration in Ghana.

This everybody should pay when he or she decides to live in a country others then his or hers.

I paid, in the past a lot of money for that as well, and a Ghanaian living in my country of birth will pay that as well.
But this is a case where Ghanaians and foreigners are paying 0.00 Gh and 120 Usd. Don't discuss racism, because I am a mixed blood person married to a Ghanaian living long time in Ghana, who fights here for his rights, just as much as I fought for my wife's rights overseas. But still there is no EU nor US where legal citizens and legal residents pay different fees for the same service.

now our Embassies should start the work at their various positions and work with the regional Immigration Service.
before a visa is issued the host addrress must be known, contacted in phyisical eye saw with all sorts of interview

as time goes on i will plead to equip the host districts to do the Primary work for the host Region that will reduce the over burden at the regional Level which sometimes resulted oversights.

there must be also a security agents who would control most of entries made by officers who are handling These type of delicate issues to prevent corruption in the System, which is the main reason why It!s always adviseable to start the entries from the host district to the regional and to the national .they are all good mechanism to control the System from greedy and nation wreckers to take due Advantages.

the Immigration Service and the NIA should also work with the hospitals, maternities to Register every Born child to issue him/her passport/ PERMIT. we should not wait till the Person grow up, national ID must be a duty of government to provide to her citizens a day a citizen is Born, the same aply to non-citizens who by vist or Born in the Country.

The benefit from These things as a Nation are many which can be debated of in later days.

starting such a good program the adress System must be in reliable forms to track it down when the Need arises
