Ghanaians deserve their own amnesty from memories of bad political leaders. Especially the ones which support those experiences which can inure our complete psychopathy or make us dormant. This is why the smell trail of Prof. Mills must be buried deeper and not sweetened. The man failed to master his own reasoning, as exemplified in peace and inactivity. Good Ghanaians deserve alacrity and that is no mean judgement or acquittal.
Ghana does not need babysitters. Who come to aspirate half heartedly like mouth brooding tilapia in water tanks vacuous "better Ghana agenda" for shiftless years.
With humility had the man scuttled Kuffuor's economic momentum, how many times was Mills invited by Obama? and came back empty handed! He was a complete waste of time dead or alive. Ghana deserve to bury him and not praise him. To deter the oddly recurrent notion that all dead men are praiseworthy, perhaps for just dying? or dying as a necessary end?

Dr. Afari Djan, the self-acclaimed god of elections, currently finds himself between a rock and a hard place.
The noose around his neck is getting tighter and tighter with ever lie that spews out of the mouth of the Tilapia fish-farmer.
The chief returning officer of elections in Ghana is today claiming never to have heard what 'pdf'(portable document format)means.
Lucky for Afari Djan, the NPP will teach him what pdf is all about today for free.
We shall make every NDC foolsoldier see the gargantuan stealing prowess of Afari Djan.

'It is often said that in adversity, there are opportunities. God has been good to our party. The death of President Mills was timely and represented a change of the baton to a ‘younger generation" ---- President Mahama ----
Juxtapose the President's statements with that of Anita de Souza and Former President Rawlings, and you cannot but come to the conclusion that the former President did not die a natural death:
"The death of President Mills was ‘God-sent’ because if he had died later than the time he died, the political fortunes of the NDC would have been affected." ---- Anita de Souza, NDC National Women Organizer ----
"The death of President Mills was Divine intervention that would propel the NDC to greater heights" ---- Former President Rawlings ----

Mills was a good man but did not pass for a good leader. I remember when Rawlings had to sign the death warrant of his good friend Flt. Lt. Sometimes as a good leader, you have to take decisions that are against your own values but for the good of the people you serve. My eulogy for Mills is that you came, played your part and left but you never conquered. Rest in Perfect Peace, man came to do some and not all.

We really deserve the leaders we get. All these attempts to eulogise President Mills affirms this. It is alright to salute Mills the teacher and Mills the humble and God-fearing man. However, it is not disrespectful to point out Mills the ineffectual President.
To me anybody who aspires to leadership must have a philosophy and at least one burning cause. They should be able to communicate these clearly to be able to carry a critical mass of those they lead. They should be able to translate these into action and implementation steps that result in the realisation of the cause(s).
I have never come across any speech given by President Mills that was seeking: to inspire Ghanaians; to paint where he wanted to lead the country. To find out what Mills’ Presidency was about: show me his philosophy; show me his policies; and show me his actions and causes and how they were funded and implemented and lastly what the outcomes were. Where better to find these than the budgets of 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. What can one find in these that pointed to where he was leading the country? If you strip out the rhetoric and really concentrate on funded programmes and policies, there is nothing much to clutch on to. It has been the same with all our budgets that we have on record.
We have never had leaders (except Nkrumah and maybe Busia) who really wanted to move the country from A to B. You may have disagreed with their causes but at least they pursued them. This is the truth with Ghana.
We should not mistake Mills’ humility for potential to achieve for the nation. If Mills’ performance in office met our level of expectation, then we really deserve the bad governments we get!

In real sense Mills achieved much comparatively, because achieving much or less calls for many factors into the equation. What are some of these factors, they may vary from each person's way of looking at things in Ghana, thus I may not like to be a teacher to any mind but I will pray every person to look at things without being politically controlled by the love for one's party alone and hatred for the other party. This way of reasoning over whether Mills achieved much or less could not help us to arrive at the expected end.
In my own understanding as to what Mills did, he really did much during the short stay of three and half years. I watched documentary of many projects that he executed and hence I have good reasons to support the stand of Prof Dramani that Mills was not weak as people had been deceived to believe.
Somebody commented on the Wayome/Waterville case to prove Mills' weakness adminstratively. I answered him that Kufour first has to be blamed when we do not politicise our national issues. Why should contract be given to a company and then abrogated, what follows, court matters arises and then find an escape goat without questioning Kufour to tell the whole nation why he abrogated the contract and gave it to Shanghai, the chinese company when he knew that could cause the nation 35 million euro.
To solve a problem properly, there is a need to get to the root cause so that others will not do that again. All the same Wayome case came out for our goodness nationally so that all such loop holes will be closed so that all our politicians will no more use it to dupe all of us. When Wayome is wrong, he has to be dealt with seriously according to the law of the land. I finally told the person that this Waterville/Wayome case was at the court and our chief prosecutors who have to be patriotic citizens cheated the nation by not defending our nation that they represented. This happenings never prove any weakness of Mills since he was innocent.
Mills was fully in control therefore that perception being peddled in the political arena has to changed. In reality Mills was a stronger leader than Kufour comparatively, is it because he chose to be quiet when people resorted to abusing him. His failure to react does not mean is a weak leader.
It is unfortunate that the whole Ghana's population can not see things the way they ought to and that is why rational and quite constructive people / leaders are not acknowledged and respected. I hope the future will help us to change this bad mind to the good so that the needed unity will come to us for a good take off.
