1- They set a deadline (july 31/13) for hosting the event but did not set a deadline for submitting the request to host the event. How could that be possible?

2- A decree or law came into existence in May 2010 concerning the chairmanship of the group. In 2012, that decree or law somehow was changed while Prof. Agyenim Boateng becomes the chairman or was at the chairman and he took advantage of that...

It smacks of corruption and/or conflict of interest...those who are crying foul have every reason to believe that the law was amended by his administration or those before him to favor him. In any civilized group or company, he would be suspended and investigated.

3-How long is the chairmanship? ONE YEAR or 2? And how possible could you allow someone to be OUT of the country for more than 6 month without medical reason? For what possible reasons will NDC Ghana need someone from USA in Ghana for more than 6 months? Elections comes every 4 yrs, so if the person has an interest of running for MP or any leadership in Ghana that year, why should that person even think of becoming the leader of the group, knowing very well that he would leave the group? Does that not smack of selfishness and greediness?

Hey, you have reason to do what you want to do but this is a public place and I have every reason to chip in and moreover Ghana belongs to us all...we need honest leaders to run the country, and if we are not able to speak truly about corruption here, we run the risk of having people like Asabee and Carl, the car thief running to Ghana from USA, Canada or Europe in the name of NDC or NPP chapters abroad to "destroy" the country.

If their parent party is in court challenging an election they clearly lost, no right thinking person will take them serious for trying to create a storm in a tea cup. NDC USA NEED THE SAME JUDGEMENT The long winding Eastern Region soccer brouhaha assumed yet another interesting dimension yesterday after an Accra High Court disqualified the recently-elected chairman, Abdul Ganiyu Lawal, and awarded a GH¢30,000 cost to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for failing to conduct the election in accordance with the order of the court.

In addition, the court, presided over by His Lordship Justice Erasmus Gyinae, declared the purported election which re-elected Mr Lawal into office null and void and ordered the GFA to swear in the other contestant, Nana Okoforobuor Nana Budu I, immediately.

The two parties are to report back to the court on August 7. The latest twist comes in the wake of Mr Lawal’s swearing in by the GFA President as an Executive Committee member at a hurriedly-arranged ceremony at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Monday, July 15. Two days earlier at the YMCA Hall in Koforidua, the incumbent had won an election by a landslide with 147 votes as against Nana Budu’s 17 at the Eastern Region FA Congress.

However, Justice Gyinae found the report on the election as not being in line with an earlier judgement on May 28 which barred old executive members of the Eastern Region FA from taking part in the election unless they had rendered audited accounts to congress for approval.

According to the plaintiff, Geoffrey Oteng Arthur, who was represented by counsel Gad Cobbina, he threw in a word of caution to the chairman of the Extraordinary Congress, Ambassador R.O. Solomon, that the purported audited accounts presented to congress on the day of election was not the accounts of the Lawal administration, but that was not adhered to.

Geoffrey Oteng Arthur, owner of Aburi Highlanders FC, contended that the accounts which was presented to the congress was signed by Messrs Emmanuel Gyimah and Kweku Eyiah, acting GFA General Secretary, and Executive Committee member respectively, instead of the Eastern RFA executives.

The same High Court had slapped a GH¢40,000 fine on the FA a few weeks ago for contempt after failing to meet an ultimatum by the court to conduct fresh election to pick new executives for Eastern Region which has not seen competitive soccer action for the past two years.
