YOU DONT COLLECT TAXES FROM MORE THAN HALF THE POPULATION N BUSINESSES. IS THE ECONOMY REFLECTED IN THE GSX? WHERE R THE INFRASTRUCTURE JOBS, FACTORIES, FARMING, EDUCATION ETC? BORROWING SHOULD BE THE LAST THING ON UR AGENDA.

When you try any challenge on the status quo, you would be gone so you just have to be silent or join in to destroy the country. The Rawlings revolutionary era of house-cleaning is gone and sealed by our current democratic dispensation which unfortunately aids and abet corruption and protect ill acquired wealth, so Ghana is a very long match to an economically stable country. Imagine for instance, few days after the president announce in parliament that public sector wages is bleeding the economy to the tune of around 69% or so of generated income, a 300% wage increment was announced for MPs.

Never should Ghana be dedendant on donor's , IMF or World bank conditionalities .

If those in government could sacrifice and reduce their salary by 5% we would be better off now. Corruption in high places, "stealing and stealing and making all kinds of azar tricks just to dupe the people," The finance minister should those areas first before thinking of increasing taxes. We need canes to start whipping people.Where were those in the minister of finance when these judgement crisis came? What did they say. The next revolution will reduce the country by half and that would be a good thing. All the bad people need to be eliminated including pastors and the clergy who are unconcerned about the plight of the common people. They are concerned about their own welfare. SHAME ON YOU ALL

Senators and Reps in usa don't have 2-3 gov provided cars...Some of the lesser know actually ride the subway/tube in Washington Dc.. And their home and offices are taken out of THEIR budget!

Abolish tax exemptions for the oil and mining companies.

The oil companies are making massive profits and not paying any tax due to the generous tax holiday Kufuor's government granted them. Yet this revenue stream is included in our national budget.

Examine the books of the mining companies going back at least 20 years and let them pay what they owe.

We need all the tax revenue now.
